we took a chance on this lamp to fill our needs! It is perfect. Easy to turn on, adjust the light and to turn off. I use it to read when I am not interested in the TV show, because we have it adjusted lower height the light dosn't bother the person watching TV. Great investment.

Got it for painting but use it in my bedroom as my primary source of light. It's bright (or can be) and is super easy to use. Seems quite durable, too. Is fairly heavy, so doesn't wobble about. Goose neck bends easily and holds its place. I recommend for painters and for anyone else who wants to have a well-illumined space.

I wanted to replace my existing halogen bulb desklights in a room I recently refitted with LEDs as they clashed badly. Most desk lamps seem to use daylight white LEDs which I find unpleasant and don't match the LED lights in the room well at all - so I went looking for and alternative to single color temperature desk lights.I initially found  TaoTronics LED Desk Lamp, Flexible Gooseneck Table Lamp, 5 Color Temperatures with 7 Brightness Levels, Touch Control, Memory Function, 7W, Official Member of Philips EnabLED Licensing Program  which is a great light, but I had to return it because, at 7w, it wasn't bright enough to be useful (the light is spread over a very wide area).Then I came across this light.The lamp can be configured as a desk lamp, or a floor lamp by using no tube sections (giving a desk lamp), or as a floor lamp by adding the supplied tube sections. Using just the supplied tube sections I felt the light was a little low for a floor lamp, but as I purchased two I was able to use an extra pipe section on one lamp, making it sit comfortably above my eye level - the extra light power over the other 7w desk lamp makes this really work. The variation in color is from daylight white to a distinctly orange incandescent bulb-like temperature and there's definitely a color temperature setting and brightness for every use. I'm normally sensitive to light flickering and the light from this lamp seems very stable at any brightness.One interesting feature is that there's a button for each light color temperature, and the brightness is separately adjusted for each color temperature. On the whole I'd rather have had a single brightness level for the light to avoid surprises when changing color temperature, but it's a minor nit (maybe the next version will let the customer choose?).The unit itself seems to be very good quality without rough edges. The tube sections are very well finished. The goose-neck holding the lamp head looks good, is very flexible and holds position well. The light has a fairly wide angle diffuser and a large light area which leads to a gentle, pleasant shadows.

I have only had this lamp for about a week or so now but have been very pleased. It is very easy to assemble and easy on the eyes, too! The lamp is in black and it does have a very weighted base so it's not going anywhere. You can adjust the lamp because it is on a gooseneck. I like the unique feature of the ability to transfer the floor lamp into a desk lamp. This LED bulb is very well-developed and it’s amazing how well it helps me to see, whether watching TV (nice and tall) or watching computer screen (on my desk) at night. There are four settings and the light quality is fabulous. The height is perfect right next to my recliner because it's easy to reach up and turn the lamp on or off.

I really like this lamp so far. Easy-to-use controls, sturdy, nice-looking, and a nice range of temps/brightness. Only 4 stars though because the velcro straps shown in the instructions (for tying down the cord) were not included, and I had to vacuum hundreds of tiny static-y styrofoam bits from all the parts.

Feb 5, 2019: What I like best is the light doesn't heat up. It's so easy to angle the light and the flexible neck, yet they stay where you position them. It's night and I turned off the overhead light - the Tenergy lamp lights up about a 6' circle area. It was extremely easy to put together. It's got a few brightness settings. I think they really made an effort to design this lamp to be thin and not get in your way. Besides being a great lamp, it arrived quickly and was packaged well. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this lamp. I didn't take a photo because the vendor has a lot of photos on their site. Sept 19, 2020: I still love it and use it every day. Aug 2022: I still love it and use it every day!

Just a quick "review". The lamp works fine, the extra colors/brightnesses is nice. My only tiny gripe is that there could have been a kind of tunnel where you could run the power cord so that it comes out at the bottom but... I suppose that would increase the cost by $10. So, I can make something like that on my own and get a longer cord going but that was the only weak link in the chain, imo. You have this really nice looking lamp and a short, thin, wall-wort cable going diagonally from the wall to the controller in the middle of the lamp. Simple fix, buy a short extension cord, tape the cord to the bottom of the lamp with black electrical tape, done. Overall, it's a very useful lamp that is bright for a small room.

I have 2 of these lamps for my sewing oom, love them as they give me enough light at my Cutting table and then second lamp I have by my sewing machine, works great.

We now have three of these lights. Originally purchased for quilting and needlework task lights as a floor lamp, repurposed one and bought another for floor lamps over our 'tv' chairs. There they provide light of any desired intensity and color, without producing any glare at all. The base is as heavy and sturdy as one could expect in a lamp at such a reasonable price, and the gooseneck is also sturdy but easily adjustable. There is nothing I don't like about this light. However, all should be very aware that it is a task light, not an area light.

Haven't had this long enough for a full review. Aside from one of the hue buttons not working well, it's a great lamp. It's really bright to really dim. Light weight and I find it very sturdy for what it is. I do a lot of intricate artwork as well as use it to light up my office esk for zoom calla and love it so far.

Good quality. Super easy assembly. Love this lamp I use it all the time , for reading, hobbies, and mood lighting.So convenient having the correct lighting for different tasks, in one lamp.Well worth the price. I highly recommend this lamp.

I needed a light for crocheting and doing puzzles. I looked into almost every LED light on amazon and this one was the brightest. It is indeed bright! But there are lots of options for different lights....reading, sleeping, relaxing with adjustable brightness to each. It is the perfect light for what I wanted. Highly recommend.
