I was absolutely surprised by a few things; shipping was extremely quick, I received the items sooner than expected and the quality of the shelves (I purchased 2) surpassed my expectations. They took a little while to put together, but the instructions were pretty easy to follow. I really loved the spare parts that were included in every piece I ordered. Many times I have purchased furniture that were missing parts and didn't realize the parts were missing until I was almost finished putting the item together. I am very happy with how the shelves look in my living room and how they add to the aesthetic I hope to achieve.

The media could not be loaded. This turned out to be a nice piece! It is sturdy & well designed. I am 59 and managed to do it all by myself. Were there a couple steps that would have been easier with a second person?....definitely!... but I managed to do it. It comes packaged extremely well. Not one single piece came damaged. Was it overwhelming?...god yes. Granted, I was tired when I decided to put it all together, and it took me all evening because I took my time. Directions are very good though! Just plug along ....one step at a time and it will happen! haha! I didn't have enough glue though to do all the dowels so hopefully that doesn't become an issue? But it went together easily....just a LOT of pieces. Everything is labeled well...including the screws and such needed. They are in individual bags with their letter. LOVE IT! IT suits my purpose and looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture!

So many great things about these bookcases! We ordered two to flank our fireplace and are very happy with them. They come with high quality, construction-grade hinges that close very softly, and the door handles are metal—not plastic. The only design aspect I would have changed is the backing of the bookcase: it’s folded down the middle versus one solid piece/sheet, so you can see the seam from the front unless you cover it up with something decorative that’s on the taller side. Other than that, everything is awesome! Assembly was straightforward as well.

Nice bookcases. Easy to assemble but does take time and patience, so far so good. I hope they hold up

Bought this bookshelf to go with the L shaped desk and hutch. It is very sturdy and has plenty of storage. Played around with shelves to accommodate all heights of books. Love that the top is open and that there’s an enclosed cabinet on the bottom.

This is our 8th piece from OKD and we have not been disappointed yet! The instructions are always clear and simple to follow. This bookshelf was the last piece to complete our living room and it did not disappoint. Good closed storage on the bottom and the shelves were perfect for displaying pictures. Very happy with the purchase and will definitely order more from OKD in the future!

I took a long time looking for a cute bookshelf that wasn’t expensive. This one looks awesome! I love it so much. Took almost few hours to assemble but the directions were great and easy to follow. They send extra pieces just in case but I didn’t need them. Very impressed.

Not the fastest builder, I know, it took me 4 or 5 days. But not bad for a 63 year old woman with a heart condition. Just take your time and if I can do it so can you. I was expecting to have to fight to get some of the connections to fit, but was truly amazed to find that every connection, every hole, every screw and piece of hardware was perfect. I was a little put off at first because there were no written instructions but the illustrations were spot on. In fact the only thing that I changed was I had some Gorilla wood glue on hand and since I perfer that brand I used it instead of the supplied generic.
