**Q: Does it rotate?**
A: Rotation would imply full 360-degree continuous spinning.  This oscillates, making a 90-degree turn and reversing direction. I mention this because I am a big-mouthed know-it-all who enjoys annoying people.

**Q: Is it quiet?**
A: No. There is something wrong with the product that fluctuates output regardless of the setting it's on. You can hear it speed up and slow down in every fan setting. The fan setting just seems to limit total potential output. Even in sleep mode within a quiet room, I can hear it randomly increase air speed for no reason at all. Amazon is also not allowing negative reviews right now, which I can only assume is part of a paid promotion of the product.

**Q: How long is the cord?**

**Q: can this fan be cleaned**
A: It can be wiped down and vacuumed but I purchased what they called a filter from Pollen Tec on Amason.   SKU was HW_TF_HYF260B it also fits the 290Bmodel.  ASIN: is B07CG3WJG3.   It's a thin cover that fits around the fan. You can vacuum the cover with your soft brush attachment and is hand washable, air dry.   Effective at filtering airborne pollen dust, mold spores, and pet dander. A little pricey but if it keeps the fan clean and lasting longer a good investment.

I love this Honeywell fan. I ordered this one from Amazon because I already had another one from another store about 5 years ago. It is quiet; takes up very little space, and has several modes. Excellent fan, VERY quiet at lower speeds, moves a lot of air when greater cooling is needed, and BONUS! a remote control! My only wish: adding some sort of optional hooks that can be clipped into slots on the side as cord storage the way upright vacuum cleaners store cords. Or, some sort of storage within the base of the fan. That is the ONLY downside I have found for this fan! I also appreciate optionally having the speed indicator stay on all the time on the model I selected. Small space taken where it stands. One hand light weight.
