Repairs just as hard as Granite!
This is a really cool way to repair a granite counter. I have granite and I have tried other repair kits that dry like rubber cement and turn yellow. This dries really hard, and the match is pretty good.I like that it uses the same idea that dentists use when they are hardening a mending a chip on your tooth. You put the patch material (liquid) in the hole, then use the light to harden it. It's really great. The only downfall is that you can't easily mend chips on the edge of the counters. Mine anyway, are slightly rounded and the liquid doesn't really stay in any shape unless it's a flat surface. So that was disappointing. It's also not to be used for large holes, but it works really good for small dings and cracks. I even used it over some of my seams that looked terrible with the grout wearing away. That came out really good!Overall this is a good product, so far the best I've found for mending my counters. I plan to do all the small dings and chips on the flat part of all my granite counters. Wish I could find a way to get it to work on the rounded edges, but it's excellent for what it's meant for. And it works!!!

Works well
Given my limited skills and the low price of this item, I think the results were good. The final fix wasn't 100% perfect, but it is definitely better, and other people might not even notice the repair. The instructions are good and easy to follow, but my package did not include the leveling tape. That probably meant i had to do more sanding to get the repair level. It came out level enough, but it is still disappointing that the leveling tape was missing.

Has almost all the parts you need
This kit has almost everything to fix a nick or chip except the sandpaper. There's even this light thingy that hardens the filler. The directions are easy to follow and they warn you not to overfill because you have to sand more. I didn't do the masking tape because it was too much work and didn't need it.

Kit had everything needed to fix
I recently had a chip in the kitchen island at my rental property due to tenant misuse and decided to try a quartz repair kit before considering professional help. The kit had everything needed and clear instructions, which helped a lot, though there was a bit of a learning curve at first.Once I got the hang of it, the repair process was straightforward and didn't take much time. The clear repair material filled the chip neatly, and the included UV light cured it quickly. While the repaired spot isn't totally invisible, it blends well enough that you’d need to be really close to notice it.Overall, I'm satisfied with the result — it’s smooth, durable, and keeps the chip from worsening. This kit saved me both time and money, making it a great option for minor repairs.

a little pricey, but worth it
I ordered this to repair a chip on some tiles in my kitchen. Thi chip was about 15mm across and perhaps 10mm at its deepest point. The kits consists of a syringe of clear filler, a syringe of polishing compound, a UV pen, some sandpaper, smoothing tape, a spreader (ice lolly stick), a USB cabel and some instructions. For once the instructions are actually clear and easy to follow. Its just a matter of squirting the paste into the damage at up to 5mm depth at a time (cure in between applications) the smoothing the top flat with the supplied tape and spreader, curing with the UV pen for 1 minute then sanding and polishing the surface. In use, it is just this straight forward - squeeze in the runny gel, let it settle briefly, shine the uv torch on it for a minute (it switches off automatically), then top up the crater and smmoth the top as best you can, another go with the UV and then carefully rough then smooth sand until it is flat and use a cloth with some of the polishing compound to make it glossy. The chip in my surface all but disappeared by the time I was done.Is a very handy kit that should do a few minor chips on your worktop/tiles. If I have a criticism it is that there could bave been more levelling tape sandpaper provided which would allow you to do more small repairs. At £20 its not especially cheap but given the cost of a new worktop, it is very economical for a repair.

The repair kit works according to the instructions.
PROS:* Achieve a very smooth and physically tough repair result in minutes.* The instruments and material in the kit are top notch. I had no problem utilizing them all.* The curing UV light source turns off automatically after one minute, which is the requirement exposure time for a treated site. So no counting seconds is required.* The user instructions and sequence was very clearly documented. Just carefully follow them.* The product is nicely and compactly packaged.* There was no detectable off-gassing of the product.CONS:* Not a product issue, however, be sure to not accidentally UV cure the dispensing nozzle after an application. Otherwise, you will risk sealing the nozzle and it can't be used again. Move it away from the work area after dispensing.NOTES:* Keep in mind that depending on the pattern of your stone work, you could still see the repair area, but it will be smooth. After all, it is a transparent patch.* I wish to bring this to the reader's attention: You will likely have to go over the repair at least twice - the second time to address missed gaps and air bubbles. In my sample image you can see this after one treatment. This is not a fault with the product.SUMMARY:As long as the instructions are carefully followed, you should end up with a very reasonable end result.I did not polish the repair area with a powered tool since it was out-of-scope for what the repair kit intended to do. The extra polishing would certainly put the final finishing touches on the appearance. Otherwise, I was able to quickly repair a gouge in the stone surface (quartz) and make it feel baby-bottom smooth with the material and instruments included in the kit. In this regard, the kit was a success.

Works like a charm
This is very easy to use. The tube has a great locking lid, and the included add-on tip (tube) allows precision application. The blue light sets the gel in around a minute.Though the instructions advise running the raised product down with abrasive, I'd recommend scratches are better dealt with using a safety razor blade or new Stanley-knife blade to cut the raised 'scar' level with the working surface.Being transparent, this cannot totally perform the repair invisibly, but it really helps take your eye off the repair unless you go looking for it.

Good but not perfect, at least for white quartz.
Our white (with speckles) quartz counters have accumulated chips around the edges from getting banged with pots and pans over the years, especially around the undermount sink. The kit was easy enough to use, though I imagine it would be much simpler for surface gouges as shown in the instructions than on edges (I used some masking tape on the vertical side and then squeezed the repair material in afterwards). You basically just fill what you need to fill with the clear repair material then use the UV light it includes to cure and harden it (like a dentist doing a filling). It doesn't take long to do and it does result in filling the defect in in a way that I'm confident will keep it from getting worse... but there was no way for me to actually make the repair seamless and invisible on my counter on close inspection you can tell it's filled with a clear material after everything.Still, it's inexpensive (very much so compared to hiring someone to do these little repairs) and it does work, it'll keep my chips from getting worse and honestly it's not noticeable unless you're looking for it with your nose touching the counters.
