I am constantly looking at lithium rechargeable lights and lanterns with particular emphasis on how suitable they would be for use in an emergency. Clearly if they are suitable for use in emergencies, they can be used for most other applications like camping and walking the dog. My criteria for an emergency light are quality of design and assembly, battery size, multiple light modes including spot light (flashlight), warning and general illumination, dimming to save energy, ability to be used as a power bank and a versatile mounting system including standing, hanging and magnetic. This AmaLux multi-functional light with speaker certainly meets all of these requirements and then some.When I saw the small opening for the speaker, I was prepared to hear voices sounding like they were gargling with peanut butter, but I was actually surprised that it is reasonably clear and relatively loud. I don't believe that this would be my preferred device to listen to music, but will certainly do in a pinch. This unit comes with a number of accessories that can all be stored in the included drawstring bag. This unit is really nicely designed and ruggedly built and manifests true quality. This AmaLux multi-functional light might be a little costly just to have in your emergency kit or “GO” bag, but if you have other applications and/or are the type that wants the best, then this light should be at or near the top of your list.One quick note. This device does so many different things and has multiple modes that I suggest the you spend several hours playing with it to figure out the particular sequence to access each mode before you need to count on it in an emergency.

This is an interesting little party speaker/lamp. The sound quality is surprisingly good for it's size and the light functions are fun. It's an ideal garden companion for yard work or relaxing on tha patio.

This 8-1 Camping lantern has made my camping trips even more fun. I love using the built in Bluetooth speaker to enjoy my music while out camping, especially at night when I can use both the eight different light modes and play my music all at once. I also love the incredible length of the rechargeable battery, allowing me to enjoy my music and light for hours at a time.

This is a neat light, lets see how it stands up to regular use. Raising the light may not make a lot of sense for me.

Good lantern. Easy to use and set up. Good value for the money.
