I originally tried the model that had the hook and latch strips but the carpet in my trunk wouldn’t anchor those. These however use the weight of my briefcase or shopping or whatever to push small nibs into the carpet anchoring it securely without any marring of the carpet itself. Love these!

Not as sturdy as I thought. It doesn’t grip as expected.

I have a Husky Weatherbeater trunk liner in my car and was looking for a way to stop my stuff from sliding around. I eventually found Stayhold and picked this version over the one with velcro on the bottom because the velcro wouldn't work on the rubber trunk liner. On the underside of the organizers are plastic teeth that are about 3mm tall. This version with the teeth probably works fine with carpeted trunks but is intended specifically for rubber trunk liners. The weight of whatever you put on the organizer together with the teeth on the bottom of the organizer create the necessary friction to resist movement. However, for the Husky liner the teeth are too shallow and won't get good traction on the liner. The organizer holds in slower speeds but doesn't hold in turns that I wouldn't consider to be sharp. This is probably also due to the Husky liner having ridges which creates gaps where the organizer's teeth wouldn't be contacting the liner. On the subject of staying in place, one thing to note is that the effectiveness of this organizer will depend on the weight of whatever you put on it because it doesn't have it's own way to adhere to the trunk floor, as opposed to the velcro organizer. If you put something light on top of the organizer, such as a book or small bag of groceries, the organizer will likely slide around, compared to the velcro organizer, which would stay in position because it would be adhered to the carpet in the trunk by its velcro strips. I understand that the manufacturer needed to balance the tooth size with the likelihood that the teeth would tear through a rubber liner, but this means that the organizer is not actually compatible with all rubber trunk liners. The manufacturer may want to determine compatibility on a case-by-case basis and have a list of compatible liners or produce organizers with different types/sizes of teeth for different brands of liners. Even though this organizer isn't compatible with all trunk liners, the price is reasonable for what you get. If this ends up working with your trunk liner, it seems that it will perform as advertised and hold your items provided there is enough weight on the organizer. I ended up returning my organizer, but you also need to consider the long-term wear on a trunk/trunk liner from the teeth. Although the teeth didn't immediately tear up my liner, I noticed marks from the organizer sliding around that could gradually wear on the liner over a longer period of time.

This does NOT work if you have a weather tech liner in the back of your SUV. Bought the ones that have the tiny spikes on the bottom to be used w/ grid style (not carpeted) liner. Doesn’t grip. Slides around.

These are great for massive boots, helps keep stuff from sliding around the boot of my passat estate.

Well made of tough plastic and work perfectly to stop any movement of items and bags in carboot. Small spikes underneath use the items own weight to grip carpet or bootliner. I use 6 in an estate car to divide the boot area up and they easily stop heavy shopping bags from falling over or sliding. Highly recommended if they suit your needs.

Works great, add some weight to it and works like magic.
