This is a sensational tool! I am very pleased with it. I had a somewhat basic table saw for a few years which did its best (but not well) and for some time I have lusted after the fact that this table saw is supplied with a folding trolley base (I know many are but this one is price competitive). That was an important feature because my workshop is not large and my old cheap table saw had seen better days while taking up a lot of room.Well, this table saw lives up to my expectations and beyond. It is a superb piece of kit. I got it at a good price from Amazon although without realising it the model has been upgraded by Evolution to a new version though more expensive. (I might have saved harder to get the new model but I am not disappointed).So, some pointers. It is heavy. A huge box arrived that my wife and I could barely lift! The first job is to assemble the folding base - that took some doing and though in the end it is straightforward, take your time. The saw itself itself fitted to the trolley straightforwardly and after that it was good to go. I that the the supplied instruction manual is pretty poor - it looks like a low quality photocopy. Given the high safety requirements and the need to assemble the tool properly a good manual is essential. I found the PDF file on the Evolution site and printed that - it is much clearer to read and the images are sharper.It is a great machine and more than exceeds my expectations. I already have a couple of Evolution tools and I find the build quality good. This table saw is no different, and As I have noted the folding trolley is essential in my workshop. When not is use it takes up relatively little space. It is still somewhat heavy to handle but that's a good point of course because it is stable and steady when operated. I am very pleased with it. Nicely built, attachments too, and has at least one extra feature I did not expect (the sliding table panel in conjunction that be used with the mitre gauge). The table can be extended for larger work, and though I have only used that a little so far this is an excellent feature and is well engineered. The dust extraction pipe fits well (especially compared with my old saw) and with my modest dust vac copes well. Very little sawdust scattered about after use.If you are on a budget and, like me, you don't have the bench space for big tools to sit idle, I don't think you can do better than this table saw.

I’ve e been using this saw for about a month now, and can honestly say it’s fantastic for the price.Compared to other saws around the same price range (and even more expensive), it is loaded with great features. I especially like the sliding mitre sledge, and the easily adjustable fence which can quickly be removed or repositioned for wider cuts up to 650mm.I have several tips before you get started with it however. Firstly take a look online for videos from people who have used it, they are very useful and help you set it up.Once out the box and assembled “calibrate” all the settings, ie blade vertical and 45 degree alignment, riving knife alignment, fence to blade distance reading (I find the scale is correct for the narrower fence setting but not for the wider setting). Also check the height of the blade’s throat plate. I had to adjust most of these settings before use.On to things I don’t like about the saw, there aren’t many but the main one is the cover over the top of the blade, it’s made of plastic, feels flimsy and gets in the way, I removed it almost immediately and if you have the suction pipe connected to it too it only gets in the way.Next, on the R255TBL you get a 90 degree elbow for the dust exhaust port, but on this the + model you don’t, you get a twin outlet T instead designed to attach a vacuum to. I taped up the right angle outlet on this to leave the straight through outlet open then simply pushed on a 90 degree kitchen waste pipe elbow to blow the dust down into a bucket.The only other gripe is as I mentioned above, the scale for the fence distance is spot on when reading on the narrower scale, but once you switch to the wider setting it’s is about 6mm out meaning you have to keep double checking distance to blade with a tape measure.In conclusion, the saw is loaded with features you don’t even find on more expensive saws, it’s great to use and makes nice clean cuts, just set it up first.

I watched all the You Tube videos, some of which proved very optimistic and I bought it. Assembly was much easier than predicted and it is VERY easy to move around. Excellent cutting capacity but ONLY reasonable dust collection. Really does cut Alloy and Mild Steel. Fence very good in use and, provided you've set up the blade and fence for parallel to the mitre slots, gives excellent, repeatable results. Blade angle won't adjust to exactly 90 degrees but very, very close. Extending table (in both directions) VERY useful. I had to, (and you'll have to) : 1) Adjust the Mitre Guide shoe to fit the Mitre slots. To do this, use a hammer and Square face punch to (very gently) spread the lower track following faces 2) Make a Zero Clearance Insert as the standard insert is laughably wide cut so everything falls into the blade cavity 3) Resin fill the Ego-tripping "Evolution" recess in the infeed side of the table as otherwise some timber pieces WILL catch in it. This is the silliest design note I've ever encountered and 4) Cut away the bottom fill in on the Riving Knife/Safety Guard Support to make it easier to remove/install. Also check that your box contains the smaller part of the Rip Fence, mine didn't but I didn't care as I would have binned it anyway. Lastly, blade supplied is very thin and wobble noticeably in use. All in all, not perfect but very good value for money, especially for anyone who, as I have, has a space problem. If you buy it you'll enjoy it, just don't expect absolute accuracy out of the box.
