I have done some research about the security camera and have come to a few brands like eufy, Aosu and TP-Link. I have one TP-link outdoor camera and indoor camera, but I don't like it uses memory card and does not have Homebase. If someone steals the camera with the memory card, it will lose all recorded video. I prefer a system using Homebase. Both eufy and AOSU have the Homebase, but AOSU is cheaper and it has sales lately so I give AOSU a try.Aosu has many outdoor cameras, but their web site don't have the information how to choose the right one. My final choices come to choose between this kit C9C3CA11 and the newer C7S2CH11 which is 5MP/3K and separate Solar panel.I finally buy this one because it can pan and tilt and do auto tracking while the C7S2CH11 has 166° Ultra-Wide Angle only. The kit is packed nicely, and it is easy to set up. But one problem is, in the northern hemisphere, it needs to face the camera to the south. At first, I thought the solar panel on the camera can be tilted to make it facing to the opposite side to the camera. But the solar panel is fixed. The front of my house is facing North and I can't use these cameras in the front.I email [email protected] telling them my situation. I am asking if I can remove two cameras from the Homebase and I can buy two cameras with separate Solar panel to put them in the front.Lynette from AOSU Support Team answered my email quickly. She told me I can remove the cameras from the Homebase and connect to another cameras. However, instead of buying new cameras, she suggested a better solution to me. She offered me two solar panels so I can use my existing cameras with them and put the solar panel to face South. The manual does not mention about charging the camera using the USB-C port and I missed that in the diagram. The solar panel connect to the camera through USB-C (better than TP-Link which uses USB-B).I receive the solar panels in two days and my problem is solved. I really appreciate Lynette services and I buy more products (a door bell and indoor monitor camera) from AOSU. All these devices can be connected to the same app.Pros:1) Easy to set up.2) The video quality is ok.3) Good to have Homebase for all 4 cameras.4) I like the auto-tracing feature of theses cameras and it has cross-camera tracking though this cross-camera tracking may not be a complete path as it depends on when the next camera detects the motion.Cons:1) The motion detection sometimes gives false alarm especially in the windy day when the tree branches are moving.2) The motion detection has some delay in the moving object when it enters the default view zone. When it starts recording, the object is already in the center or almost moving out of the zone. I did not test running fast object.3) The multiview of the app can only show max 4 cameras. I expect it can display 4 cameras in a page and it can scroll to multiple page of 4 cameras view.4) The app is bad on iPad. It just displays the same size as the phone, not full size of the iPad. It should have responsive UI.5) It is good if I can adjust the recording time to make it longer.6) The Homebase does not have the memory card slot to expand it.7) The app loses connection to the camera sometimes and need to reconnect.Overall, I am happy with this kit and I appreciate the very responsive and helpful support from Lynette.I read other reviews that the camera is not charging good by the solar panel in winter Canada. I'll see how it goes. It may need to take it out and charged indoor regularly.

Works as advertised. Easy installation and set-up. Video quality is good and no problems with the solar charged batteries so far. Nice system.

I am extremely impressed with this security camera system. From the moment I opened the box, the setup process was quick, simple, and very user-friendly. The cameras connected easily, and I had everything up and running in no time.One of the standout features is the mobile app. It is by far one of the best security camera apps I have used. The interface is clean, responsive, and packed with useful features. My favorite feature is the ability to view all four cameras simultaneously on a single screen. Being able to monitor the front yard, backyard, driveway, and other areas of my property at the same time provides excellent situational awareness and peace of mind.The motion tracking feature is another huge advantage. The cameras intelligently follow movement, making it much easier to see exactly what is happening instead of relying on a fixed view. Motion detection alerts are fast and reliable, keeping me informed whenever activity is detected around my property.The video quality is excellent both during the day and at night. Images are sharp, clear, and detailed, allowing me to easily identify people, vehicles, and other activity. The night vision performance exceeded my expectations, providing bright and clear footage even in low-light conditions.The two-way audio is also surprisingly crisp and clear. Conversations come through with excellent sound quality, making it easy to communicate with visitors or monitor activity around the home.Overall, this system delivers everything I was looking for in a security camera setup: easy installation, an outstanding app, reliable motion detection and tracking, clear notifications, excellent audio quality, and impressive day and night video performance. It provides complete coverage of my property and gives me confidence that I won't miss a moment. I highly recommend these cameras to anyone looking for a dependable and feature-rich home security solution.

I've had these for a year and 4 months now. I wanted to wait a year to review them, but went a bit over.These are really good cameras. We've had record rainfall, a tornado and record high temps since I installed them and they are all working perfectly. I installed the free (available upon request) external solar panels on some of them and they stay at 100% charge. I'm not going to try telling you these cameras are perfect, but they really are great, for the following reasons.1) Wireless range. I have the base unit in a cabinet under my TV with several other bases and a wireless gateway. In theory, this should dramatically cut down the distance that I can install the cameras from said base. I have 2 of the cameras over 100' from the base, one hidden behind a metal shed, and they work fine. In bad weather I occasionally get a message on the one behind the shed that its signal is weak, but it still works fine.2) Appearance. These are good looking cameras. They have blue lights that come on when they sense movement, which lets people know they're being watched. If the color night vision is enabled, they have very bright LEDs that light the area up nicely when it's dark out.3) Function. I get near instant notifications on my phone when someone is approaching, although the 'human detection' could use some work. Still, I'd rather get excess notifications when deer walk though the gate than wonder if it's always catching trespassers, so I'm OK with that.4) Battery life. I used the 4 cameras in my kit with the built-in solar panels until the (upon request) external ones were delivered. (order them after delivery using the instructions in the box) and all 4 cameras stayed close to 100% charge, even the ones that didn't have direct sunlight. I now have 3 of them on external panels and they always show 100%. The other camera is on the sunny side of the house and it doesn't need one.5) The app. It's easy to use and actually works! (love when that happens). I added an Aosu doorbell (highly recommended) later on and it popped right up in the app beside the cameras. I can download videos to my phone with one touch and view recorded footage with no subscription.6) Footage quality. I can read license plates (see below), tell who's coming from a distance and see color video even at night. They are great cameras. Not perfect. Sometimes, if a car is driving too quickly, the license plate is blurred, but I work in security with cameras that cost over $3,000 each and they do the same thing...The bad.1) When automatically following someone / thing, the PTZ motion is jerky, not smooth. It'll move a lot, stop, then move a lot again. It's fine, the subject stays in frame, but it's not a smooth movement. Also, in the fall, I had to reduce the sensitivity of 2 cameras as blowing leaves were triggering them.2) The notifications. There may be a way to change this, I'm old and haven't tried hard enough, but there are a lot of notifications when someone comes in the yard. At least one from each camera, usually 2 (coming and going), plus another blanket notification when the event is all over, to make sure you're aware that the other eight notifications were noticed. Again, I'd rather have too many than not enough - nobody is coming onto the property unnoticed.3) Adding cameras. I bought the 4 camera kit and would have to buy another kit and have another base station to add more cameras. I knew this going in, so I can't complain. It would be nice if there was more expansion capability in the base unit, though.That's it. Buy these and a doorbell and know everything that's going on outside, all the time.

I waited for almost a year to review because I wanted to experience the performance over summer and winter.On a high level, the picture / video quality is good and have no complaints with the app, except the support function being near useless. The cameras will sometimes get stuck or rotate and stay facing the wall for no reason. Usually recalibrating and resetting the default view fixes this issue. The biggest problem I've encountered is when some of the cameras getting stuck in live streaming mode, which I only noticed because of a massive battery drain and the IR light remaining active when I was viewing from a different camera at night. This requires unbinding and re-adding, which is pretty annoying. Recently they updated the app to include more ads for upgrades which is a backwards step but it is what it is.During the summer, the cameras remained charged and shown a decent amount of reliability. It will miss the odd recording or fumble person tracking but was not a common occurrence. Overall, pretty happy with it and could deal with the misses when they happen.When winter came and hit below -20 the batteries would instantly drain from 100% to 15% in a matter of minutes. The batteries don't seem to accept the solar charge in cold temps and I would just turn the cameras off to avoid having to climb up and charge inside just for it to happen all over again. This is mentioned in their listing so I accept the reality that these cameras are only useful 3/4 of the year.Overall, I'm okay with what I paid for this camera system but will likely upgrade to a fully wired system at some point for peace of mind.
