Armour Quartz Coating - Chemical & Scratch Resistant Coating for Cars, Chrome & Plastic Trim - 30ml

This was fairly my first time using a quartz/ceramic coating. I really paid attention to the given/provided instructions in the preparation and application using the product, read it and read it three times over to make sure I understood it fully. Things that are required to do in the instructions was plain to see beforehand that it was a bit different than just applying normal wax and calling it a day. It is recommended that before using the quartz coating the process entails proper preparation, thorough cleaning, decontamination, polishing and drying first before applying the actual quartz coating. Definitely cannot emphasize how critical that first step is in preparation and using the product. Make no mistake it’s a project but applying it was a lot easier than I expected and can be self-rewarding for what detailing shops charge. After doing the first couple of sections/panels applying the wax with the applicator you kind of get a feel when to start wiping it off, hence what they are calling the wax drying/flash point before you need to buff it, you want it to be a little wet, not dry for buffing. The kit comes with everything you need but would recommend that you do get some type of prep applicator to use first, as the first step; you want to make sure the paint is thoroughly clean and have extra clean detailing towels for rotating to use for buffing; the results will speak for themselves afterwards. The slickness is ultra-smooth with the hydrophobic quality as no joke; we are talking a mirror like finish and water the hits it just beads and rolls off the surface. It does feel like you’re putting an invisible armor on your car. Both of my cars are dark in color, and I have seen fewer fingers/nail scratches showing up around on the door handles after application. I haven’t had it long enough to contest the 3+ years claim and protection, but I would say that 3 years is more than honest than saying it can and is good for one application for over 10+ years like some of the others. This is a pretty good coating and is straightforward applying and using it but really need to follow the directions if you are a first-time user working with it. Overall, so far, I am very much impressed with the results given.

This is a pretty decent ceramic coating. As with any ceramic coating, you have to be sure your paint is properly prepped and decontaminated, as putting a ceramic coat over crappy paint will just lead to shiny crappy paint. This applied in the "normal" manner, seemed to "flash" in about the same amount of time as others, and left a nice shine.
