The media could not be loaded. I'm really happy with this shredder. It is compact and works great. It easily handles up to eight pages at once without a problem. The microcut feature is really nice as I can make sure my documents are securely destroyed. The see-through window on the bin is great because I can tell when it's time to empty it and the handle makes it easy to dump. It fits nicely under my desk and doesn't take up much room. For the price, I think this is a great buy and it exactly does what I need without any fuss. I would say it is a little loud, but for the purpose I don't really care about that.

I’ve decided to buy a shredder to avoid any risk of personal information leakage. This one has an automatic detection feature — you just insert the paper, and it starts shredding automatically. It’s really convenient! It can handle multiple sheets at once and continuously works as long as you add papers. even slightly thicker ones, so it’s more than enough for home use. The waste bin isn’t too heavy either, making it easy to clean. And the noise is reasonable for the in-home use. Overall, a great purchase!

Right out of the box, after setting it up and reading the instructions, I placed the switch in the "Auto" position, placed a single piece of paper in the feeder, and to my utter amazement...nothing. I moved the switch to "Forward". Nothing. I tried ""Reverse". Still nothing. I tried a different outlet. Same results. I unplugged it and took the unit out of the paper receptacle to make sure nothing was jammed in the mechanism. Nope. Plugged it back in. Nothing. After several attempts at fiddling with the switch it suddenly turned on. I figured out if you mess with the swith enough times, you may get lucky and find the sweet spot to where something makes contact and it will actually work. Once it does, it does a nice job of cross-shredding. But then I turned it off, and of course, it would not turn on again. It's on it's way back.

Received today. Brand new and happy with the product thus far. It is a micro cut shredder as stated, resulting in very small bits from a single paper. When I plugged it in and set it to auto it did not start initially. It seems the top wasn’t engaged, lifted the top set it back in and then had power. Hoping that info helps someone.The motor seems to be very good quality it hums. Shredded a shallow office tray of papers and the basket is half full. Will likely line the basket with a bag as the bits are quite small and may fly about when tossed.Hesitated in buying as I have home and business papers to shred. May purchase a larger shredder for that, with a longer run time, this will likely keep up with weekly unwanted mail.Love the small bits the papers become.I believe this will last awhileWanted to see what I thought of the micro shred before investing in a larger shredder. This cut is what I’ll look for in the future. Believe it states it is cut to 4x12 mm.Would be nice if Locksworth, offered a medium sized shredder.It is quiet, yet certain crisp paper makes slightly more noise.Recommend this product. It’s a keeper!
