There are no equalizer settings to speak of, just a "bass" button that fills out the sound a tad but that's okay. It works and sounds pretty good regardless. We bought it for its compact size, USB and memory card capacity to play our MP3 music and it does quite well with that. I have yet to find a truly good analog for "shuffle mode" on any device I have ever purchased, so I have come to sort my library into a continuous play-thru order that simulates a shuffle without repeating any song or artist consecutively. This stereo unit will pick up where ever your playlist left off when you last powered down so the playlist remains continuous. Nice looking little unit.

This is a true review, no payments, or bribes. Awesome!!!!! I am the widow of a music connoisseur. Husband has a vintage true 4 channel stereo with awesome sound. Sound is equal to a concert hall. Very complicated for me to use. I wanted a compact stereo which allows me to play music from a USB stick, CD's and doesn't require technical genius to play. I also like having a remote. I had my doubts when I unboxed the small and light weight stereo. But I was in for a pleasant surprise. The sound is great from CD's and MP3s. I expected a tinny sounding stereo when I set it up. To my total surprise it sounds amazing. I hope it lasts because I really love it.

Item arrived with some loose part rattling around inside the device. It must not be essential because it works but quality control is lacking. I will update the post if it becomes a problem. You only hear the rattle when moving the unit. 1. Radio-sound is clear and strong but you need to plug in the extender. I get about 8 stations but I do not have it near a window so that might change if I move it. Some stations are clear and some are not. 2. CD player- very weird but when the CD switches from track to track, it often cuts off the first second of the new track. When you use headphones this does not happen. Very odd. The CD player is not quiet and can often be heard if you are close to the unit while music is playing. With headphones this is not an issue. 3. Sound- It is 100% better with headphones. I would not use the system without them. The sound is okay without them but the music sounds thin. Headphones make the sound EXCELLENT. 4. Speakers- I have 5W speakers from an Emerson CD player that sound richer and stronger than these. This is why I will only use headphones to listen to CDs on this device. This does not apply to the radio. That sound is great without headphones. 5. Basics- There is no on/off ! You can only turn it on or put it in standby. This should not happen in 2025. You have to unplug it to turn it off. Unacceptable. 6. Size- It is very small and easy to use anywhere Overall (referring to the CD player) I would expect better sound from a total of 60W speakers! If you don't like headphones I would not get this unless mediocre sound is okay and you are a casual listener. Headphones are a must for quality sound and loud music with this device. I do not use bluetooth or pairing so I cannot comment on the quality of that. If you like to listen to CDs with headphones, it is a good deal. *Setup is VERY easy and it is easy to use with or without the remote. I wish they would send me one with no rattling part when you move the device.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This radio may be small but it has serious sound! Crisp highs and good midbass. Unexpectedly loud! Extremely easy to set up. Well worth the money! Sound quality: The dome tweeters are super clear and crisp. The woofer is well made with rubber surround. Very good bass and treble.

When I was a youngster in the early 90's my dad bought me an Aiwa stereo system which I loved and used for many years. I became excited when I saw this new Aiwa mini stereo system on Amazon so I purchased it for my son's birthday thinking he could use it to listen to my old cd collection. When the new stereo arrived the package was in pristine condition with no signs of damage during shipment. Unfortunately when I unboxed it I immediately noticed that there were loose parts rattling around inside the unit. I went ahead and plugged it in, connected the speakers, loaded a cd and it became apparent the cd player was broken. The cd player would not read any cds - nonfunctional. I tried a couple of different brand new cds that I knew worked, and the cd player would not detect them. The display on the receiver would show "no disc" after inserting a disc. Complete disappointment! Returning it was easy but it was a regretful purchase and waste of my time.

Not as loud as I wanted, but it's good quality. I still have a working aiwa discman from 2001.

Great mini stereo system. I have no quality complaints, the sound is very good for a small size, and has many options for playing music. CDs play well and Bluetooth connects without issue. Aiwa is a great brand that I trust.

Este minicomponente de Aiwa ha cumplido mis expectativas. Ideal para lugares pequeños que no requieren mucha potencia de sonido y aún así cubre a la perfección un espacio de unos 15 mts cuadrados (claro, no hay que esperar un entorno para fiesta, pero cumple bien para dicho espacio). Fácil de ensamblar, viene con control remoto y funciones como Radio, bandeja de 1 CD, entrada auxiliar 3.5, entrada de audífonos, entrada para tarjeta SD, entrada para USB y conexión Bluetooth, con lo que se puede reproducir música sin problema desde el celular, tablet, PC, Laptop o cualquier otra fuente bluetooth, lo que lo hace muy completo. Tiene un panel frontal con botones amigables para cualquier usuario y similares en el control remoto (con batería incluidas). Bien por Aiwa, por pensar en un dispositivo multifuncional y minimalista, para aquellos que aún poseemos Compact Disc (para volver a recordar) y también inmersos en las plataformas de música.

Se ha usado poco el equipo desde que se compró y ya no toca cds, tampoco hay manera de hacer reclamación a la empresa porque el equipo vino de Estados Unidos, han pasado 6 meses desde que lo adquirimos y no sirve.
