Moondown Farm Finch Nest Box - Plastic Bird Nesting Box - 12X13X16H (Pack of 1)

I keep 2 pairs of foreign finches in a large cage. They had been using 2 small “wicker” type nests for some time, which the birds did lay eggs in. However I decided to purchase this plastic nesting box because it was larger, and would be easier to clean. I removed one of the wicker nests and replaced it with this box. Basically, the birds never showed the slightest interest in it. I even observed the four finches seeming to share the one wicker nest. I left the plastic box in the cage for some time, but it was serving no purpose so I’ve now removed it. When I looked inside it, there was no evidence that the birds even entered it at all.
