Saillong 2 Pack 4G 5G LTE Filter for TV Antenna, Reduce Interference

I connected this, did a scan and didn't get any new channels, but when I hung the antenna back on the wall, the one channel I wasn't able to get in clearly now works fine. It could be because I hung it an inch higher when I put it back up. Either way, I can't say if this solved my problem. Since its only 8 dollars, I guess its worth it for the shielding it provides.

Working so far. I just installed it and re-scanned the channels. I went from 68 to 40 but I think that is what TiVo thinks I should see. I haven't lost any of the ones I normally watch. I have one that would not come in that is now coming in clearly. Some weaker channels seem a little "wavy" but much more watchable than the pixels that were coming in before. So far, so good. Update - 30 minutes in and there are still some random pixels but nothing like before. Too many factors to say the filter is not working. There are lots of cell towers nearby and we had had some recent wind storms so the antennas may not be properly aligned any longer. This thing is clearly an improvement. One hitch. I read the reviews on several variations of these and a recurrent comment was that the "nut" that attaches it is fixed, it does not swivel. No problem, I expected that. What I didn't expect was needing a 12mm wrench to tighten it. For decades I had a 7/16" wrench in my "electrical" and "cable TV" toolboxes as well as one in my desk drawer. Everyone of these nuts (collars?) worked with a 7/16. I know its not a big deal but why 12mm? I grabbed a single wrench to install it, only to find I needed two wrenches. Yes, first world problem, but not expected.

These filters do not do very much, their cutoff frequency is very high, well above the UHF television frequencies, they may work for somebody that is very close to an LTE tower site, but in general these do not do much to protect you from anything that's right above the UHF Digital television frequencies. They cut off is somewhere around 900 mhz. And the attenuation is very shallow, out to approximately 2,000 mhz. And at those frequencies, you will not be getting much of it into your antennas or television receiver again unless you're very close.

Could be real or voodoo science. Seem to have a slightly better reception but not by much.

It works OK could be better

I have 2 ota tvs, one in the garage and another in an extra room each connected to a flat panel antenna mounted to the wall, and neither was able to get one of the two local channels that broadcast football on Sunday so i took a chance with this 2 pack antenna filter. After installing a filter (between the tv & antenna amplifier/power supply) on my garage tv i didn’t see a difference, so i tried installing the filter between the antenna amplifier/power & antenna cable and then testing it out…i was able to get the local channel that previously had “no signal” (it slightly pixelates sometimes but it is way better than getting no signal at all) and on a few other channels were clearer than previously where they had choppy pixelated signals sometimes. For the spare bedroom tv, i plugged the filter between the tv & antenna amplifier/power source and after testing it found that it was able to show the same improvement as i had in the garage. The difference was in the garage i was unable to fully tighten the connections on my first try (filter between tv & amp/power) because of the tv design near the coax, so it is important to make sure the filter is tightened on both sides of it for it to work correctly. Your experience may vary, but it did help my situation quite a bit (i’m in a suburb neighborhood, somewhat rural area) and am looking fwd to having the game on when i hang out in the garage. For the price, it’s worth trying if you’re experiencing a similar issue as described.

J'ai acheté un filtre neuf mais stupéfaction à l'ouverture de la boîte. Enroulé grossièrement dans un plastique à bulles j'ai constaté des marques sur les deux bouts ainsi que sur l'étiquette laissées par des pinces ce qui indique que cet appareil a été utilisé. Je vais monter dans les combles et le brancher sur mon amplificateur pour le tester. Espérons qu'il fonctionne, je vous en tiendrai informée par la suite.
