I opened the package. It had parts. I installed them. Hole is gone. Can’t beat that with a stick.

We needed something to plug the deadbolt hole in a door. This looked like it would work but doesn’t even come close. There is nothing to hold it IN the hole so it just keeps sliding. If this is the reason you want to purchase this, you’d be better off putting the deadbolt mechanism in the hole and using a piece of duct tape to block it.

Good price, shipped fast, decorative look, quick fix for short term problem. Came with two bolts of different lengths so can use on different thickness of doors. Used this on interior garage door to eliminate interior deadbolt. Effective at filling the hole with decorative value. Looks nice with matching handle. With some effort this could potentially be unscrewed from the outside of the door and then if someone could use the 2" hole to access the inside it would be a security issue, so do not recommend using if security is a concern. For an interior door or a low security issue, this was a nice fixture to install.

We have black door hardware and it's been really difficult to find a filler plate to match. This is rubbed bronze (not completely black), but it's close enough. It's sturdy, and very very easy to install. Most importantly, I trust it to keep us safe in case of a fire. The one's I found at our local hardware store were flimsier and made me nervous. Also priced well.

My kitchen door to the outside is solid. so years ago my son put in a peep finder for me. However he picked it out and it was big. so the hole is big and I could never replace the peep finder with another one except the same kind. so, i finally found this by accident. but I thought I could use it for the door. It fit perfect, I got gold to match my door handle and deadbolt and it looks great. at least I was able to cover the hole with something other than another large peep finder. Love it.

I converted my kitchen pantry door from a doorknob and mechanical latch to a pull and magnetic latch. This made opening and closing the door much easier and quicker, but of course it left a big hole in the door where the knob had been. The filler plate under review here is perfect. It matches the house door hardware as to finish. And it was wonderfully easy to install. Just line everything up and tighten the screw. Close-up, I noticed a couple of slight mars on the surface, but no one will ever see them when the plate is in actual use. In sum, a totally winning product.

My door is a standard thickness - 1 3/4"...however, the 2 screws provided for mounting this plate are either too long or too short. Good Grief!!! It's a pretty simple application to cover a hole in the door. So what's the problem with not being able to provide a darn screw that FITS!!!

Gave the front door a little refresher and needed something to cover the hole for the deadbolt we no longer wanted to use. Looked for something in matte back to match the new hardware going on the door and found this! East to install, serves the purpose and looks good!
