Lake CountryCCSGRE5 Polishing/Finishing Pad, 5.5-inch Foam Pad, Green

After years of hand polishing and waxing cars, I finally did it and bought a decent DA machine from Autobright Direct through Amazon. I had been at an indie Porsche specialist and saw a chap doing one step corrections on their recent pre-loved inventory, he was using and expensive italian long throw DA and Menzerna 3500 on an MF pad. Having watched lots of YouTube videos, I realised that the pad is possibly more important than the DA machine. I used a green Lake Country pad with Menzerna 3500 on my 12mm throw DA and paint corrected a ten year old red GM car. I didn't chase the deep scratches but I did remove every minor scratch and swirl to leave a high gloss finish with no holograms or inperfections. Four passes per set on speed 3. One pad did the whole car, declogging between sets using an old toothbrush. Afterwards, I washed the pad out using Elbow grease and allowed it to air dry and it looks almost as good as new. Very pleased with my first attempt and this pad made the job easy. I did complete all pre polish stages, snow foam, two buckets, clay bar, towel dry and mask up. For panel prep I used a 50% isopropyl solution.

These used to be really good pads, absolutely shocking quality good for only about three cars before they start to shred, very dissapointed, not exactly cheap either!
