The shutter button doesn't fit
Purchased for the thumb grip, which is great, however the red shutter button doesn't screw in - the shaft going into the shutter release button is half the size it should be. There is no grip or catch for the treads. I email the company and never got a reply. I'm not going to return it for that issue but beware, while it said "free returns" the return is not handled by Amazon and the company puts one through many challenges to return it.

Great product.
This is a great product. As with most mods, there are sacrifices. But the limited space to press the Q button and just a little harder access to the play and AEL/AFL buttons are absolutely worth the better grip and handling. All buttons are still accessible. Once in a while, you have to push it back in a little from using it. It works well with the SmallRig handgrip.

Fujifilm X-M5
No complaints, the material is good quality and it fits perfectly on my Fujifilm X-M5. The thumb grip really helps out when taking photos and the soft release just makes more sense than the original button. Simple design and looks great on the camera.

Thumb grips can be great.... but not this one.
I use thumb grips on a lot of my cameras. Some designs are great, some not so much. I love the smallrig X100 grip, fits well and doesn't hide any buttons. The X-M5 version however? It's poorly designed/shaped.First off why are people buying the X-M5? Because it's small. That's the ONLY reason to choose it over other options. This grip is not flush with the top of the camera making it taller. This will now catch in any pocket you could fit this camera into... On top of that, when going for a smaller camera body there are compromises made with the controls on the camera. The X-M5 has less buttons -vs- the normal fuji layouts. It's workable but you need to be able to use ALL the buttons fuji has given us. Again because of the shape of the thumb grip, the Q button is now impossible to use. I'm not saying it's hard to use, I'm saying it's impossible. It's right against the grip and the grip is taller than the body at this point. The most confusing part of all if this is with the layout of the X-M5 and it's lack of a proper rear wheel, the thumb portion of this grip could have been moved down, made it flush with the top of the camera, made it for a better grip, and kept the ability to use both the EV/dial and Q buttons accessible. I can't understand how this design was the best they could do. It should be bent down and further right in the silver section below the EV wheel and above the black portion in my last pic. Of all the fuji bodies I've owned (almost all with a hotshoe thumbgrip) this body has the most obvious design option that doesn't get in the way but it wasn't used here.
