This manual coffee grinder is exactly what I was looking for—sturdy, well-made, and easy to use. The ceramic blades grind smoothly and consistently, giving me a perfect cup every time. So far, it seems to be made and work pretty well. Though I do fail to understand why the grinder, itself, is made of ceramic.The grind speed is almost sluggish, really, but I can only attribute that to the fact of it being so small (the whole thing is the length of my hand (give or take the measure of a knuckle), the grind chamber included.And honestly, I don't even understand why the review suggests adding "taste", considering that depends more upon the coffee being used than the grinder.Overall, it seems to work pretty well, all things considered, but be ready to sit there, turning the handle for about 10 minutes or more (definitely not like the old grinders I remember and miss using).

Works well and has different grind settings. Will grind enough coffee for 1-2 cups depending how strong you like it. Have gone through one bag with no problem. Handle detaches

Saved me a month supply of coffee!I picked a manual grinder this time instead of another electric one and it's actually caused me to save on coffee! Maybe I'm just being more frugal with it since it's not just a quick few seconds of pressing a button? I had to pause my 6 week coffee delivery, so I know it's a real thing! It's easy to use and you'll never be without freshly ground coffee if the power goes out. It's great to take camping too, since it's very compact. The price was a big factor to me ..very affordable. I recommend this coffee grinder.

This was the least expensive, hand cranked coffee grinder I could find with a ceramic grinder. When I bought it, it was just $10. Overall, I love it for the price.The hand crank is connected to the gear that grinds the coffee by the handle—which is made of thick plastic. Eventually I see this will be where it will break, but I also see that—when it happens—it can be fixed with epoxy or superglue.When I had a cheap (~$25) electric coffee grinder, I found that over 50% of the ground coffee was not of a uniform size. But with this manual crank coffee grinder I find that over 90% of the ground coffee is of uniform size. In fact, most of the larger sized grounds are towards the end of the grinding. Therefore, my recommendation is to put more beans than you want to use into the grinder, then use what you need. That way you will never come to the end of the grinding, and almost all of the grounds will be of uniform size.

This grinder is great. Easy to take apart, easy to clean and definitely easy to fill. The various grinding sizes is perfect for spices and coffee. Just make sure you select the correct grinding size. The cup on the bottom detacheds easily.

Takes 4-5x as long to grind as metal-toothed grinders, and seems to dull and get worse after a month of use. Get a metal one and don't deal with this.
