Dove Shampoo Intensive Repair for Damaged Hair with Bio-Protein, 28 Fl Oz

I've been using this intensive repair shampoo for a couple of weeks, and I'm really impressed with the results. My hair was feeling dry and damaged from heat styling, but after a few washes it feels much softer, smoother, and easier to manage. It lathers well, rinses clean, and doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy. The scent is pleasant without being overpowering. A little goes a long way, so the bottle should last a while. Overall, I'm very happy with this shampoo and would definitely purchase it again.

I bought the Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner after following Abbey Yung and seeing these recommended as affordable, drugstore-friendly options for damaged and heat- or color-treated hair. I have fine hair that can easily become weighed down, so I was especially interested in something that could make my hair feel healthier without leaving behind a heavy or greasy feeling. The shampoo has a creamy gel-like consistency and lathers really well. It leaves my hair feeling genuinely clean while still feeling nourished rather than stripped. I was pleasantly surprised that it doesn’t feel too heavy on my fine hair, and after styling, my hair looks and feels healthier and softer. Both the shampoo and conditioner have that classic Dove clean, fresh, slightly powdery scent. It’s noticeable in the shower but leaves my hair with a pleasant, clean fragrance afterward without being overwhelming. Overall, this has been a really good combination for my fine, color-treated hair. If you want a drugstore shampoo and conditioner that leaves hair feeling clean, soft, nourished, and smooth without the heavy buildup, this is a combination I’d recommend trying.

I got hooked on this by finding a very large 2-bottle shampoo/conditioner set at Costco. Well, as any Costco shopper knows: here today, gone tomorrow. So, I went here and found this 4-pack that rivals the price value of the set I got at Costco. Now, for the product itself. Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo is the best I've ever tried. It's a great cleaning shampoo yet it doesn't dry out hair. Repeat, cleans well without drying. This stuff lathers luxuriously and washes out just fine. It smells great without being overpowering. I don't ruminate over the ingredients as I'll leave that to others. For me, however, this is the best shampoos I've ever purchased and the four-pack is both convenient and cost-effective. Too bad that Costco rotated this out, but I like not having to buy as much conditioner anyway and they only ever had it in the two pack of both...so, Amazon Prime to the rescue...and though like most Costco products they get slightly more ounces in a pump bottle this is only a few ounces less and truly the price was virtually the same within pennies per ounce. This is in my humble opinion (it's worth every bit of what I charge too) the only shampoo the whole family will ever need.

Okay sorry for length I wanted to cover everything. I got this with the conditioner that comes with it and at first I was skeptical and it seemed like it didn't lather very well and like I had to use a lot, but then I realized I just wasn't scrubbing enough to really move the soap around and get it sudsy. Once I did that I realized I only needed two to three small pumps to really lather it. It feels very lightweight and the smell is amazing. If you like that typical Salon smell then you will like this a lot. It rinses out really well too, it doesn't leave residue and it doesn't feel heavy in my hair. The conditioner is pretty much the same, it feels very thin and cheap at first but then when you actually get to combing your hair even with your fingers it detangles surprisingly well. It leaves your hair soft for like 4 days, I only wash my hair every 3 to 4 days and the smell lasts in your hair for about 3 days and stays very soft. Now the only downside that I've noticed is that it completely flattens out waves so I would assume it would also damage curls. I have wavy hair and sometimes it's curly underneath but wavy on the top layer and this stuff honestly completely straightened my hair out like it weighed down my waves entirely even after crunching. My waves were always very fragile anyway and they end up just turning into a big frizz ball so I honestly don't care that this takes them away so I will continue to use these but if you are somebody who has healthy waves or curls and you want to keep it that way I wouldn't suggest this but I think it would probably be great with straight hair. My hair is thick and heavy and it works great (aside from the wave damaging thing)

I love this shampoo so much that I buy in bulk when there's a deal available. The bottle size fits well in the shower without taking up ridiculous amounts of space BUT also lasts much longer for two people than other similar sized bottles. My husband and I both have thick wavy hair and this product does the job for us. We regretfully don't maintain our natural hair well, but this shampoo helps us keep our hair moisturized and healthy in between cuts and cleans effectively without stripping our natural oils. Great buy that keeps me coming back and buying in bulk!

I love the intensive care line. It smells really good and leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny. When I use the shampoo, my hair smells really good. It is a nice thicker shampoo and conditioner which I really like for my coarse hair.
