Nutrigen Vegy Syrup 200 mL - Vitamins, Minerals, and 7 Vegetable Extracts in Pomegranate Juice

My son has arfid and autism so his diet is very limited. He didn't get on very well with the powder supplements, but has this fine. I add it to his juice/ smoothies and hes completely fine with it

Why did you choose this product over others?: I was recommended the nutrigen powdered vitamin supplement by a school nurse for my 5 year old daughter who is a picky eater. She unfortunately didn’t get on with that supplement form and I was perusing Amazon and came across this one, which is perfect as she is missing vital vegetables from her diet, she has assured me it doesn’t taste very nice but luckily does take it well; it’s 10ml one per day for children over 12 months. Will be reordering when needed. Thank you.

I bought this vegetable supplement because my three-year-old daughter’s eating habits had become quite challenging. She went from eating a reasonable variety of foods to refusing all vegetables completely and mainly wanting fruit. I was concerned she was missing out on some important nutrients and vitamins, so I decided to give this a try. Initially, she absolutely refused it! The taste is definitely something children may need time to get used to, and she was very clear that she did not like it at first. I tried mixing it into a fruit smoothie, but she noticed it straight away and then refused to drink that as well. What worked for us was introducing it gradually. I started with a small amount (around 2.5ml) and slowly increased it until she was taking the recommended 10ml daily dose. I also explained that if she didn’t take her supplement, then she would need to eat vegetables like broccoli and Brussels sprouts instead! After a good amount of encouragement and persistence, she now takes it without any fuss and doesn’t even seem to mind the taste anymore. So for the taste I've taken 1 star off. The only improvement I would suggest is including a small oral syringe with the bottle. I used one from another children’s medicine, and it made giving the supplement much easier as I could administer small amounts at a time. I think this would be really useful for other parents too. Overall, this has been a helpful addition for us, especially during a phase where vegetables have completely disappeared from my daughter’s diet. It did take some patience at the beginning, but now she accepts it happily and I feel reassured that she is getting some extra nutrients.

Very good value for money

My son does not eat vegetables or much fruit so this really is a Godsend! He doesn’t seem to mind the flavour (we mix it into his juice) and it also keeps him regular as well which is a bonus. My only thing is it can be pricy as it doesn’t last very long however I will definitely recommend it and have told other SEN mums about it too!
