Refresh Gum Peach, Natural Sugar-Free Xylitol Chewing Gum, 12 Pack

Like many people I turned to this brand after learning how many microplastics are released with regular "gum base" aka plastic. (Side note: where is the class action lawsuit? "gum" is a word that originally referred to the tree sap -- & shouldn't companies have had to disclose what was in their products if they're leeching out into your *mouth*?) I find Refresh gum quite similar in texture to, say, Trident gum. Of course the flavor doesn't last as long because these are all natural ingredients. Once you can wrap your mind around that, this is a great alternative!

I’m pleasantly surprised by how good these are! I recently read that regular gums release a ton of microplastics so I was looking into gums that’s didn’t have that. Came across this brand and was a little hesitant to try, but this is great! Initially it was pretty hard to chew, but in a minute or so the gum became super easy to chew and very soft, just the way I like it. The taste also dissipates pretty fast but I don’t mind that much. Slightly pricier than other gums but I honestly think it’s worth it given no microplastics. Highly recommend!

This is good gum, but it’s kind of expensive. I’ve tried the other plastic free gums. This one is the best.

The best!!! It tastes garden minty while not being subtle…it’s still got that strong mint burst even with the very natural mint flavor. It’s so good! LOVE IT!

This gum has changed and now disintegrates in your mouth after 5 minutes. I contacted the company and explained that it also varied from pack to pack- it’s quite expensive gum so I thought they would take it seriously. They just gave me non- answers over the course of a few emails where they weren’t actually answering the questions. (ie: we don’t know! Here’s a coupon for your next purchase! - why would I keep purchasing an incredibly inconsistent product?) They even gave me a response that I’ve never heard in my life which is : it could be the ph of your mouth. Consulted the family doctor they said that’s ridiculous. It also doesn’t explain the pack to pack variations. So, if they don’t care enough to really investigate or answer the questions properly, I’m not invested in their product. I used to love it and I’d chew it for the longest time on road trips but I guess I’m out of patience with the run around.

So fresh, so natural. The hard sappiness really grows on you and ruins your taste for all other gums. Chewing like a cow never felt so clean. But heads up for TMJers: expect some jaw soreness.

I really enjoy the blast of peppermint and feel great knowing I'm not filling my body with microplastics. I have tried several plastic free gums but this one has the best texture and flavor, in my opinion.
