This Growell 16 pod hydro system exceeded my expectations with how well it grew lettuce. From planting the seeds to harvest was only 30 days. All my lettuce sprouted within a couple days. I tried growing spinach and kale, but they didn't do as well in this hydro system as they did outside in the raised bed. I'll be sticking to lettuce exclusively in here for now, and probably grow some herbs in the future.Tip: With lettuce, two seeds per pod delivers hearty results!I was so pleased with this grow kit, I bought this same system for my dad for Christmas. Now he's growing lettuce as well, and has one sucessful harvest so far.The kit comes with everything you need for one entire grow. After that you will need to purchase more grow sponges, as the kit only comes with enough for one grow. They are fairly cheap, you can get 100 for between $10-$20. There's enough fertilizer for 4 grows, and the plastic pods are reusable.It's very easy to set up, from unboxing, to setup, to planting, maybe 20-30 minutes depending how experienced you are and how quickly you want to set it up. Anyone should be able to get this setup to have a sucessful harvest, it's that easy!I got this when it was on sale for $60, but even at regular price I'd say it's worth it if you consistently are planting and harvesting. A few grows will have it pay for itself, and not to mention all the benefits of growing your own food. I ordered and received my first unit on April 30. This machine was so fantastic I ordered another one a week later. Almost every seed has germinated. I had planned on 6 raised gardens but these things are so phenomenal I am going to have to order more. You cannot go wrong and the customer service, Gina in particular, is amazing. I just started using this and it seems great.it comes with everything but the seeds. Very easy to use, and you can use so.many different seeds.

I love this Growell hydroponics unit. It is easy to use, and the instructions are easy to follow. I started with Basil, and it sprouted within days. The plants grew fast, and I was harvesting Basil in a little more than a month. As the plants mature, keep a close eye on the water level. As the plants grow larger, they will use more water, and eventually, you will need to add water daily. I plan now to get 2 more units, one for Watercress, and one for Tomatoes.

Excellent unit. Comes with everything except seeds. Extremely easy to set up and get started. Even has tweezers for seeds. The pump is really quiet I had to check to see if it was on. I have a rosemary planted and I cleaned all the soil off of the roots and put it in the hole and the plant loves it. I mixed the food solution and added it to the water. Really pleased with how the booklet is explained and the tidiness of the packages. Love it.

Purchased for my mother in law as a Christmas present and she absolutely loves it. It arrived in perfect condition, she's been able to successfully grow all kinds of herbs and lettuces and small veggies in it! She really loves the adjustable lamp for different stages of growth. Would reccomend

Works great. Seeds sprouted second day and are 1.5 inches at two weeks in. Very easy to get started.

I am starting to grow an indoor garden and with this little unit is how I have decided to start.I ordered the white one with 16 pod slots. I must say so far I am very happy but will update later.The slots are not too close to each other which does give some room for growth.The until does not come with any seeds but I purchased what I was looking to start my indoor garden with so it worked out well. The light adjusts up to 15". There is a water window at the front which I really like.It comes with everything you need to start growing except the seeds. I have mine growing lettuce, spinach and a few others and so far everything is growing nicely. I added the nutrients 2 days ago and the plants got a boost with the nutrients.Depending on where you live, do some research as to the seeds you need to buy for the best results.You can set your time to 16 or 22 hours and would require more light during the germination process.I do like this unit as compared to others that I have tried. I would definitely recommend.I am starting a lemon tree and an orange tree next. I'll update how it does with those.

This is my second one I have bought, different company then my first one. All in all being doing pretty good! Cucumber, tomato, lettuce and carrot are all growing, the only thing negative would be very hard to see the water level as its black on black where as my other one is white on clear so I would suggest not getting the black color one.
