The best shoe I own
200 miles in What an amazing shoe! I bought these on a whim cause I needed some trail shoes and they were on sale for $65. I read the reviews at first and had some small concerns about the durability since several reviews said they were falling apart early on. So I just hit 200 miles and (other than the mud and dirt) these shoes are in GREAT condition. I'm not running gravel trails or grass or easy dirt paths, either. Most of my trail runs are on highly technical, rocky, rooty, nasty terrain. The grip is great! The lugs are still in pristine condition with no missing chunks or cracks or tears. The upper is in excellent condition as well and is still perfectly attached to the lower with no separation in the seams. The fit is right on for me. I normally wear a 10 or a 10.5, depending on brand. I got the 10s in these and they fit like a glove. One of my other concerns was some of the reviews mentioned it was easier to roll over at slower speeds. I HAVE found that to be the case. Nothing terrible but something to note. The carbon plate was something I was also interested in. I'd never had a shoe with the carbon plate in it. I'm not saying I was skeptical, but I really just wasn't sure I'd notice any difference. It's noticeable. I typically run on pavement in HOKAS (Clifton 9s) and shortly after purchasing the Endorphins I ran 6 miles on trails then switched shoes and ran another 4 on some pavement and the difference was stark. I love my HOKAS but they just felt dead compared to the springiness of the Endorphins. I get it, they are apples to oranges, with the HOKAS being a high cushion shoe, but I had a similar experience with some Brooks Adrenalines. The carbon plate does feel like it's launching you a bit when you push off. Overall, I would 100% recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a trail shoe. I bought another pair for my 16 year old son and he likes them as well. I will definitely grab another pair of these. Now if only I could find an equivalent road shoe to these I'd be set!

Finally, a hiking/trail running shoe for big guys!
At 6’5” and 250 pounds, finding a light shoe that works for rough/off trail hiking or trail running is really, really hard. The endorphin Edge is the first shoe that really nails it for me. Foot box is not crazy wide like Altra or keen, not not too snug like Salomon. These are super cushiony, yet protect the bottom of your foot with a tough and stiff carbon fiber rock plate built into the shoe. No more painful foot bottoms on the AT in Pennsylvania! The lugs on the sole grip very well on slick trails. My heel stays locked without being laced up overly tight. The uppers synthetic materials breath well, dry very fast and are not showing any signs of wear after about 50 miles. There is not a super thick toe Rand to protect from stubbed toes like on many off trail shoes, but I have not found this to be a problem. Saucony, please don’t change a thing on these shoes. They are uniquely great for heavy off/rough trail hikers and runners. I just ordered two more pairs just in case.

Saucony Endorphin Edge
What an amazing shoe, these were made for stable, fast runs. Ive been waiting for the color and size is true to fit. No foot pain in these babies.

Fast and scary on the wrong trails
This is a very fast and lightweight trail racer. Great for non-technical trails but I would not recommend for very technical trails. I used these for a really technical trail race and they are fast but scary fast. They don’t provide enough support for rocky downhills. I came very close several times to rolling my ankle. I used them for a non-technical race a month ago and they were excellent. Good grip even over some mixed terrain. Rocks, roots etc but not extreme. Saucony has other choices for more rugged terrain. I use Peregrines for that.

Ankle breakers
In the past 4 years I have trail run 9,000+ miles and not once sprained an ankle. Wearing these shoes for the first time (While running along the gorge 100k course), I rolled an ankle within 6 miles and then severely sprained the same ankle at 11miles in these shoes. Afterwards, I read these reviews and realize this is a “problem” with these shoes. They might be great shoes on flat “rail to trail” type terrain but are real ankle breakers for anything technical. Also, they are very slippery on wet terrain wear other shoes wouldn’t be. They were comfortable and lightweight though:). I wear a size 12.5 in most shoes and these ran true to size.

Fantastic First Run
So far, so good. I did a sprightly 8 mile trail run this morning wearing these shoes for the first time. They felt wonderful, fast and agile. I agree with some of the other reviews about these shoes being a bit slippery on wet rocks but it’s not horrible. Since this was the first run, I cannot attest to their durability but if they hold up, I’d rank these among my favorite trail shoes.

Sehr leichter , etwas breiter Schuh. Bin erst ein paar Mal damit kurze Strecke gelaufen. Kann noch nichts genaueres sagen. Außer , für schmale Füße nicht geeignet.

Replacement for my original bad boys. Took me to 50 miles in one go, so cannot fault them.

The item was not a good fit for my wide foot shape, however the seller issued a free courier returns label and a quick refund to my credit card which was appreciated.

A piture tells 1000 words. I bought a second pair of those because I had a race to run and my 1st pair was destroyed in 4 runs !! I did not wanted to change shoes just before the race. I did 1, yes ONE 10km run and the result can be seen in the picture. This is a 190 eur pair of shoes !! Totally unacceptable. Do not buy these shoes if you are a runner, they will hardly take you through your front door....
