I've ditched my Helix and just use the in-built sounds. 8 presets with a overdrive/boost toggle via an xsonic pedalboard is more than enough for gigs. Loud enough to use as a personal monitor against a loud drummer at gigs. Okay in a rehearsal room on its own. Sounds ace through the PA. I also play keyboard through it. Insane that it can run for hours at this volume with all the FX on a rechargeable battery. Editting is intuitive via the app (more so than any other FX I've used) but you don't need the app live if you're happy with only (!) 8 presets. Portability is great - first time my wife has ever carried my amp to an upstairs function room for me! Review: Sometimes size is not important. - Got to be the most versatile amp on the market.
