when I cooked something with the lid on, the lid gave off a bad smell. is it alright?

I had the same issue holding a smell from the food! The lid material holds odors! I let it soak in dawn and that helped! Love the skillet don"t like the lid problem with odors!

Can you tell me how deep it is?

I used a ruler: 2.25" deep for the base, and the lid is 2.5" - I was surprised the lid is so close, since it looks so much bigger, but the ruler doesn't lie. Must be the color contrast or something.
