To be clear, there's nothing on the product page about using the ITBEBE Cat6 Ethernet Cable (100 ft, White) the way I did. Disclaimer aside, I saw the ITBEBE and thought it might be a good candidate for a special application. You see, I have a 2nd floor that didn't have particularly good Internet access, and I wanted to address that with as little wall destruction as possible. When I had the upstairs HVAC replaced, the contractor ran a fake gutter down the side of the house to hide the cables and the refrigerant line. I dropped the cable down the gutter, from the attic, and then ran the able into the basement. In the basement, it plugged into a PoE switch. In the attic, it went through the sheetrock for the ceiling, into a UniFi wireless access point. It works perfectly.I had some cable that was suitable for direct burial, that would have been more durable, but I figured that shouldn't be necessary. After all, the cable isn't exposed to the elements (especially UV). The temperatures that it will be exposed to will most likely be between 20-110F. With it's flat profile, I figured it would be easy to pull with no snags (unlike the armored direct burial cable). If it's working in my setup, it's hard to imagine where it WOULDN'T work.
