It was easy to put together and to clean afterwards. That was within 20 minutes of delivery!The mandoline protects the hands and fingers in use and with normal caution about not ever touching the blades while in use or cleaning it feels safe to use. It is sturdy and stable and at present the cut is perfect for slicing. I'll wait a day or so before trying all the cutting modes and time will tell how long the blades are this sharp. A very satisfied customer. 5 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Safe to use *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 20 March 2026* Safe. Well made. Fairly straightforward to use. But don't expect to have round carrots, or round anything, as the angle of the chute is sloping, only the first few cuts are actually round. The further down the carrot you get the more oval the slices get. It cuts easily and quickly, and I found it useful for slicing up cooking apples for in an apple pie, but I didn't care what shape they came out so that's fine. I would like to have been able to dice with this machine, so am inclined to wish I'd shopped around a bit more before buying it.
