Does the bag roll closed?

The spices come in individual bags and then also in a larger plastic bag with a ziplock closure. I never tried to roll it up but I dont see why you couldn't. Especially before you open the spices.

Is it possible to buy empty bags as well? I use some blends that would be amazing to take smaller amounts of as well.

Do the bags contain the smell? I had some spice holders, but they made everything in my camp kit smell like garlic and such.

No, the bags are sealed, the ones that I opened didn't have any strong smell. The herbs are all dried
