I’ve had other units similar to this and I’ve had varying results. On the plus side I’ve had it running now for about a week and there’s been some items growing. Lettuce and chives are through. On the negative side it’s advisable to check when you open the package of pods that the seeds are inside the media because I found some in the plastic packaging. However, if you open carefully you should be fine. Overall, it’s early days but I believe that this has the potential to be excellent. I would have liked to have a timer on the lights but this is not a deal breaker as it can be easily done via a separate timer plugged into. Definitely worth trying, despite the initial expense.

My wife continues to use her present two years on growing some of the more expensive or unusual salad veg, and get an early start to plants at the beginning of spring. Salads have never been more colourful and tasty. The bad parts are the costs of the subscription and normal pricing of the plants, timing for sale pricing is sadly necessary. The product itself is well made, substantial, simple to put together, easy to clean, looks good and the plants grow well and germinate quickly (quality of seed is good) and can be planted on in the greenhouse. Just back to the normal cost of the seed. The annoying part is we would buy many more if the pricing was lower than the cost of buying a fully grown plant at a supermarket. So choose the plants that you can’t get. Obviously having a herb garden on hand is a joy and rather using as a propagator as we do, may be worth it for you eg growing with your children.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my parents who have recently began to cook more with fresh produce. My mum has always wanted to grow a herb garden outdoors but never got around to it, and my dad is a gadget aficionado so this seemed to tick all the boxes. The instructions were clear and the set up was easy. We've taken the advice of starting one of each of the herbs that came with it, and then planting another in two weeks time in order to get the most out of the herbs. I'm writing this review on day 3 of planting, and as of yet, no herbs. The app has helped to indicate when we'll begin to see growth (1-2 weeks in for most of the plants), so we're waiting eagerly to see what happens. I also liked the friendly feautres of the app, such as naming each of the herbs that you plants. There are only two things so far that I would change about this product.I know the old version of this device came with a light to indicate when the water needed to be filled, where as this only comes with a floater so you have to check the water levels. Although it says it lasts a month, I have seen reviews which say otherwise, so it's just something to keep an eye on. I think I would like to have both options as indications of water levels. The second thing is that the lights used to help grow the plants (on for 16 hours a day) is very very bright. I know this is a good feature as it helps the plant to grow, but it is quite straining to look at, especially in the evening. I don't know what a solution to this would be, but it's something to bear in mind when deciding where to place your plant. We timed ours so that the lights are off from 9-5 (my parents are retired so spend a lot of time at home during the day), which helps make it less intrusive, but in the evening it is still very intense. Useless don’t waste your money

I am very glad someone in the world though about so perfect project. First its totally beautiful. The quality's I can see in the small details. Its all so automated!!! My only job was put the water. I read that the leds light used just 5 or 6 dollars a year. Started growing in less than a week! I wilk but how many fits in my house. Its pitty they dont have a bigger one!

bought this for my gf and she loved it. only downside is that it is abit expensive however its nice and does grow plants well.

It’s a lovely garden; however, I didn’t get the tomato, basil and salad that were supposed to come with.

A christmas present for my son and he loves it. It took him a few days to work out the best time to have the lights on as it is very bright. So far he has grown basil, coriander and chillies which have all come out great

Una bella idea. Anziché avere un cane, un gatto o un pesce rosso ho “adottato” quest’oro idroponico. É un piacere vedere crescere le erbe aromatiche e i peperoncini ogni giorno e soprattutto averli freschi all’occorrenza. Non immaginate colture sconfinate ma sicuramente soddisfacenti

Ho aspettato un mese per fare questa recensione volevo vedere come sono cresciute le piante . 1 in 7 giorni i semi hanno germogliato senza tanto sforzo .e crescono a batti d’occhio .in 30 giorni ho usato sia il basilico che insalata .ovviamente al pomodorino ci vuole più tempo ma vedo che già sta fiorendo .a me piace facile e non impiega tempo .la prox volta voglio piantare dei fiori

Bonne réception de l article , bon emballage de protection, et dans les temps rien a dire sur ce point. Jardinage très facile en effet , on met les pots à leur place et ça pousse. je recommande d'aller voir le produit en magasin , la taille m'a surpris chez moi (un peu plus grand que prevu) les plantes pousse vraiment. Ça pousse mais on est encore en ete, a voir ce que ca donne en hiver. Le prix des produits par contre devient vite exorbitant attention ;)

Living in Singapore temporarily and missing a garden in Europe, this is a smart way to 'garden' when you live in a small apartment. I have only had it a few days but can already see some of the seeds germinating. One thing to be aware of is that the artificial sunlight is very bright and is on for 16 hours a day. It would not be suitable for a room that needs to be dark more than 8 hours a night, i.e. a child's room, or anywhere that bright light might be a distraction.
