The tub is an inflatable so it "gives" a bit (as opposed to a plastic tub). Sit your child down and measure the length of the legs etc. in the sitting position. If more than approximately 20" the child is probably too long for this tub. **Q: This tub gives the dimensions as 2.9 X 8.8 X 9.3 - is that all inches and is that inflated or deflated? Doesn't seem very big if its in inches** A: My 8 month old fits in it. I think the 2.9 may mean 2 feet 9 inches long. It fits in the bathtub. A little big for the kitchen counter. My son likes to lean forward when he's in it.
