Good sound
Easy set up and sounds great. These are paired with a 3 Laser 4k projector 120” screen. Sounds great

Crazy expensive, but no regrets. Big upgrade from amp-driven older 5.1 system.
Hideously overpriced. Easy to install. Well designed installation hardware kit, very clear pictographic instructions, simple to attach to walls. Took 25 minutes to put up all 4 speakers after unboxing everything. Sound without a subwoofer is not impressive overall. I got the kit with the SW-3 small wireless subwoofer, and it is a vast improvement. With the sub at -3 on volume, it is still sometimes overpowering in a 25x25 foot room with vaulted ceiling. I can't imagine what a larger size room would be to require the larger subwoofer, but it would take more than 4 speakers for sure. The "virtual center channel" they brag about is not inspiring. I have ordered a Sony A3000 soundbar because there is clearly a deficiency in the center zone. There is no need for a connection setup... You plug in all the stuff, and it talks to itself, the lights turn green, then you're done with that part. HOWEVER, you are in for a real treat at this point. You'll need to scan a QR code on a brochure in the box, install the Sony app, go through about 10 minutes of app-guided audio calibration before you're fully 'set up'. For the price, the remote control is laughable. It is the size of a pack of gum, controls volume and a couple of audio modes. There is no onscreen menu system. If you need that, use the phone app. LG TV hookup works just fine. Using the eARC HDMI connection, this system was quickly able to play TV and Roku sound. I chose to connect my Roku to the Sony box, and just run the eARC HDMI to the TV. Works fine that way, and the Roku remote still does all the smart TV control, plus the Roku remote can change/mute the Sony volume. That part is set up in the LG menu, not the Sony menu. The eARC connection is required to have that functionality, but the LG was not hard to set up. Once you find the correct menu...best of luck there. You will not be able to use the TV as your center speaker unless you have a compatible Sony TV or Sony speaker. According to the internet. I didn't even try, there is no visible setting to make the attempt. The app will probably be a roadblock for the less technically inclined. Go find a 12 year old to help. The 'surround' qualities and spatial awareness are actually good for just 4 speakers (and a sub). Audio quality in general is above average but would not impress an audiophile.
