This is the best and sharpest knife I have ever used. It cuts through raw potatoes like butter. So when using it be very careful if you are used to using dull knives like was. This knife is very well balanced, it feels good when using it, not like the crappy ones I've used in the past that just feel awkward. It has some heft to it too. Not heavy but it just feels substantial. It's also very beautiful with the Damascus steel. The markings on the blade aren't as pronounced as the pictures show. The blade is very shiny and they are light, but they add a subtle beauty to it. It's also very well priced. I would expect to pay a lot more for a blade of this quality. I didn't expect a blade at this price point to be this nice. Highly recommend this.

Amazing knives! Super high quality, handles feel amazing, and boy are they SHARP! Cannot attest to their longevity, as I've only used a few times so far, but just from that usage I can tell this is a huge deal on Amazon. I would not hesitate to buy every style they make, if you are in need of great kitchen knives (and don't feel like spending $100 per knife). I got the package with the 8" chef's knife and 5" paring knife (or something like that). Both are fabulous and well worth the money.

These are super super sharp. Not like regular knives. They will slice your fingers I. A heartbeat. I have 3 stitches to prove it. Taking it out of dish drainer it slipped I grabbed it sliced and diced. Yeowww

I love this knife

This is indeed a very sharp knife. It feels good in my hand. I like the slight arc of the edge from tip to heel, which makes chopping especially efficient. My one niggling complaint is that folded-metal pattern on the blade is much fainter than depicted in the ad. I have a number of sharp knives, and got this one in no small part for its appearance. Unfortunately, at first glance the pattern looks mostly like dirt or a stain. If this makes no difference to you, you'll likely be quite pleased with the knife.
