A bit expensive but the attention to detail is incredible. Worth the buy
This thing is amazing!!! I got it since I love history and have been studying the Notre Dame lately. It has thicker pieces but quite a few are thin and very easy to break. You actually use quite a bit of super glue on this project so be aware of that. The instructions are clear and conscience making it easy to assemble. The attention to detail is impressive and when the lights come on it’s stunning. It is quite expensive but it was really fun to make and looks incredible on my desk. It is larger than expected which is great because then you can see the little details come to life.

Well designed masterpiece
I've built multiple 3d wooden puzzles across several brands and found this (Notre Dame) puzzle to be the best, well designed and laser accurate puzzle I have assembled so far. Its illustrated instructions are easy and accurate to follow all while feeling as though you are really building from the ground up. I would give this a 10 star for feeling well satisfied at the end, when you turn it on. A must have for and hobbyist collection.

You spend hours putting the model together and the lights no longer work
If I could give zero stars I would. The first thing I do when I get these 3-D puzzle models is to check to make sure all lights work. They did. I spent days putting this thing together. I will say it is beautiful however the zero stars come in because after I built it, the lights no longer work. I have got everything plugged in the way it’s supposed to be the on off button doesn’t work and when I plug it in the lights don’t work anymore. For the money I paid for this in the hours I spent I will never buy another funpola product again, and I had bought several. This was too much work for absolutely no reward. I am upgrading my review to five stars. Though I am still not happy that I spent so many hours putting this model together just to watch the motherboard fry, I was treated very well and quickly by Funpola representatives. Not only did they refund my purchase, they sent me a new model. I have not put it together yet, but if it’s anything like the other it will be beautiful.

Beautiful
Very challenging and rewarding. Instructions were somewhat unclear, but if you'd done these type of puzzles before, you can figure it out.

Lesser quality, more breakage than other Funpolas.
This was my 4th or 5th Funpola puzzle. The components were far lower quality - essentially very thin balsa wood. As a result, several pieces cracked just separating them from the "pages" of parts, and others cracked or broke while trying to press them into a slot. I've intentionally steered to Funpola because of the quality of the other puzzles but have to rethink that now. Additionally, there were a few instructions that were unclear.

Stunning model when lit
My 13 year-old son built this by himself, and he’s never built anything like this, so the instructions must’ve been quite clear. The end result with the lighting is stunning. He likes the small footprint so he can display it on his desk. It’s also neat that there is an integrated on/off switch for the lights. There were a couple fragile pieces that broke during the build, but regular glue and super glue were able to fix them no problem. I would recommend for a teen with patience or an adult. My son said, “this is really satisfying” as he built it.

Gorgeous Model/Puzzle/Piece!
My husband surprised me with this for Christmas and it is such a beautiful model/puzzle for our living room! I had to be gentle with some of the more delicate pieces, but the finished product is gorgeous. I recommend this to those who are confident enough to assemble Ikea furniture as the directions are in the form of pictographs. If you are a puzzle or model builder, I highly recommend this lovely build!

Fun with a footnote
Having built quite a few of these wood models and book nooks, here is my take on this on: PROs 1) The final design looks really cool 2) When illuminated, the light shining through the stained 'glass' windows is attractive 3) A lot of attention to outer detail 4) None of the pieces broke CONS 1) Some pieces are very difficult to fit, particularly the front. The wiring has to pass through a conduit and I had to redo this step multiple times, even had to use glue. Finally, one of the wires passing through this conduit made the wire too short near the end step and in order to get enough wire, one of the lighting strips was displaced. I recommended gluing all the wood pieces that hold these strips in place. This step needs to be redesigned. I was barely able to make this one wire connect at the end 3) Not for kids, at least not without an adult helping 4) Some flying buttresses were held in place flimsily 5) Requires a lot of gluing Overall, if you have a lot of patience, enjoy gluing and can improvise a bit, this was a fun kit to put together.

Quality and instructions
I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this 3D model of Notre Dame deserves every bit of praise. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely outstanding. The design is incredibly detailed and perfectly executed, capturing the beauty and grandeur of the real cathedral with astonishing accuracy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, making assembly a smooth and enjoyable process. The quality of the materials exceeded my expectations—sturdy, well-crafted, and built to last. But what truly compelled me to write this review is the final result. The finished model is breathtaking, a true masterpiece that looks stunning on display. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate—this is an exceptional piece that any architecture or history enthusiast will appreciate. Highly recommended!

Overall a fun project that I recommend to others
I bought this kit for my dad for Christmas. He was recovering from hip surgery and I thought this would be fun for us to do together. We started in late January and finished it today. And it was fun! It’s a lot of work but we took our time and did a few hours each weekend. You have to follow the diagrams precisely so you need to have eagle eyes to determine nuances amongst pieces. All pieces are labeled but it’s easy to get mixed up if you aren’t paying attention. And this is what made it fun for me. The pieces (and the whole finished unit) was smaller than I expected but it’s actually the perfect size. You can lay it out on display in your living room and not feel like it’s out of place. Were it bigger, I think it would be over whelming so I’m very happy with the size. My hands are small and that definitely helped in certain locations where my dad’s fingers were a little too big. Some pieces are very delicate so you need to be extra careful with them. I think I broke a dozen pieces but all were reparable with the provided glue. The kit came with tweezers and sandpaper and things items came in handy. All in all a great bit of fun and good quality time spent with my dad. I don’t think he was too struck on the idea of doing it but as we built it up I think he got more into it. Now that it’s done, he has it proudly displayed in the living room 🤭 just a note about the lights which take the structure to another level, the wires are finicky and sometimes despite being plugged in, would not turn on. A quick touch of the wires fixes this but we decided not to place the back piece on the structure that conceals the wires since we know that we’ll have to access them to turn the unit on. We have it on a light switch but when we turn the light switch off and on again, the lights don’t turn back on. So it’s a bit of a manual start. One last thing, we had a bunch of pieces left over. Not sure if we failed to add them at the correct time or it they were extras. I suspect the former because nothing in the manual gave us any indication we’d be left with any. But regardless, it worked out well and now I want to do another one. TL;RD - a good bit of fun if you’re into models
