ELLASSAY coisound 1688 Orchid Breathable Slotted Clear Plastic Pot - Growers Assortment (10 pots - Two of Them are 4",5",6",7",7.5")

I’m leaving a four star review because their customer service was very good and the pots are very good quality and are great in every way except for the size. I left a photo... I have a 6 inch orchid pot, 6” across the top and 5” across the bottom. I needed a large 7 or 7 1/2 inch pot so I thought this would work. However there is a three-quarter inch lip around the top of the pot so the overall measurement is very deceiving it is only 6” on the inside of the top and 5” on the bottom of the largest “7 1/2 inch pot”. Additionally it’s only 4 1/2 inches tall so overall it’s actually smaller than the pot I currently have. It comes in five different sizes and all five sizes have a large lip around the top making the size very deceiving. I would have kept them because they are good quality however the sizes are just way too small for the orchids I have in my collection.I also included a picture of the butterfly clips they include. It is a nice touch however they are alligator clips and are inappropriate for orchid use! They would squeeze the stem of the plant restricting nutrients to flow and eventually would damage or even kill the flower spike.

This is my second order and more of the pots this time didn’t have the drain lines cut all the way through. They plastic didn’t seem as firm as the ones I previously orderly. Very disappointed as I badly had to transplant this week and went to cut out some of drain lines and they cracked. Many of the pots were scratched up and possibly used looks like hard water lines. I won’t be ordering these again.

Well it says 4,5,6,7,7.5. Well I understand that it’s measured from the top lip. But I got 4,5,6,6.5 and a 7. Not a 7.5. I really needed the 7.5. The 6.5 was even made of a different type.

I normally don't give reviews; but some reviews left, prompted me to write... I'm not a big orchid grower/ second time buying pots. I feel the quality, thickness, size of slits, etc were great; and they came very quickly. The listing clearly shows size of pots with lip and inside measurement, so why complain after purchase?? I probably won't use the absorption cords, but nice to have the choice or different types of plants. The cute butterflies were great; if I don't use them, grandgirls will!!

I got these for my immature plants that I was transplanting over to LECA. They are perfect and the large lip makes flushing easier since I can easily grab the pot. They are fairly shallow, so wouldn't be great for a plant with a more established set of roots. But they are great for propagations or plants just being transplanted from soil to LECA. Plus the pots being clear means you can keep an eye on your root development.

I gave it 4 stars cause the smallest I think is useless. .I wish they would give more options for choosing your size. .re-potted all my Orchids. . wasn't sure what sizes I would need, this group of pots looked like it would work. . they are well made, lots of air slots. . now I just have extras, will keep for future transplants. .but the smallest are really to small. .they sent the little butterflies that I have attached to the stick. .really cute. .and a wicking string I won't use as I don't want to hold that much mosture. .

I use them as pot liners but have a few that I haven't found pots for yet, and work fine on their own as orchid pots. I have several sets of these that I have used for a few years now. The oldest set is still as good as new, and the orchids are happy. I have phals, dendrobiums, and oncidiums as well as a few hybrids.

Sturdy and great for leca use, recently have even placed soil inside for extra drainage to help decrease root rot chances. So far so good, wish they had even larger sizes for mature monstera but these sizes are standard for most plants.
