Amazing sound for the price.
This isnt the cheapest price, but its not terribly expensive for what you get. I had this installed (yesterday, i didnt do it myself) in my 2015 mustang. The sound quality is amazing. The installes even said that the would compare it to the Focals they had in the store. They dont do these DB competition style brands (CT/Skar/DD/American Bass), and when I told them the price they said they were honestly impressed. I know CT is regarded to some as cheap, and others as beast... but to a mainstream car audio store and mainstream installers thinking all these brands just play loud... the sound quality from these are amazing. Dont get me wrong, you can play loud, but i was going for a quality over boom build... I would recommend these to anyone who like to listen to multiple types of music. They play bass as well as highs well and country to hip hop to metal to listening to podcasts... its like being in a studio in my car. Sound is amazing. Oh, and I have it paired with a CT sounds amp. The amp is OK, great power, but a rockford amp would be even better. HOWEVER with these speakers its a beautiful match.

Impressive Sound, Quality, & Value
Installed in a 1998 Mitsubishi Montero with an almost 10-year-old Pioneer deck. No amplifier. No sub. This is my first set of car audio components and I am thoroughly impressed. If you're in a similar boat, I hope this review gives you the confidence to make the jump on these. They are remarkably good. Just be prepared to do a little fab to get them in. My truck originally came with a 300-Watt, 8-speaker Infinity sound system. When I bought it in 2015, the factory amp and CD changer had long since been removed, and all the original speakers were blown to smithereens. Tight on budget and time, I had a local shop my Pioneer deck and a set of relatively matched Infinity Reference speakers, 6.5s in the lower front doors and 6x9s in the rear. This system was decent, if not particularly powerful. With a 3-point fader bias to the rear, I could turn the volume up to 28-32-ish before I'd get distortion and start worrying about blowing speakers. I could barely compete with road noise on the highway. All that said, I had it dialed in and loved how it sounded. Even though my Montero originally came with a 3-way component set in the front, I still had to do some fabrication to install these speakers. I had to cut the baskets out of the factory door mounts and space them off the door by 1/4" or so to keep the magnets off the window glass when rolled down. I had to custom fabricate brackets to mount the 3.5" mids in the lower dash (because the factory speakers had integrated brackets that couldn't be separated from the speakers). And I had to cut the grilles on my factory tweeter pods to accept the new tweets. Being happy with what I had prior, I was extra cautious in choosing these. I wasn't planning on replacing all my speakers, but I had to replace the heater core (which involves removing the entire dashboard and most of the interior), and my mother-in-law randomly asked me if I could use the set of J: Audio 6x9s she ordered by mistake last summer. Having already spent my entire budget on sound insulation (Noico & Siless, effectively identical, imo) and other interior bits, I doubted I would find a set of 3-way components for any price I could justify, but these CT Sound Mesos caught my eye. I feel like they're half to a third of what you'd pay for a more well-known brand like Infinity, JL, or Focal, so it's definitely a leap of faith purchase. Before, I had the following settings on the deck: > loudness: max (3/3), bass boost: max (3/3), fade: 3-to-the-rear - max volume: 32 After, I have the following settings on the deck: > loudness: min (1/3), bass boost: min (1/3), zero fade - max volume: 45 I now enjoy a crystal clear front stage, can turn things up loud enough to completely drown out highway noise (and shake all the mirrors without a subwoofer). There is no clipping or distortion, and I know there's still some fine tuning to go before I get things to the sweet spot. So far, though, I can crank any type of music I like--rap, rock, techno, funk, mariachi, classical, etc.--and it all sounds amazing. Definitely worth the investment. Just be prepared to do a little customization. I found the following really made a difference: - a "Dremel" rotary tool for cutting/trimming/sanding speaker brackets/buckets - a box of Noico 80mil butyl rubber sound insulation to isolate speakers & seal panels It's worth the effort, imo.

Best speakers I ever had!
With proper equalization and amplification, these things absolutely sCrEaM! Well worth the money. Pair with CT's 5 channel amp and you won't be disappointed!

Outstanding sound quality!
I was skeptical about these to be honest. I was in the car audio industry starting in the 80's and have owned, installed, tested and competed with nearly all of the most popular brands. Anyway... This 3-way component set is fantastic. The woofer provides powerful, punchy bass response with tight frequency midrange transitional response. The magnet is substantial, so make sure you verify mounting depth in your vehicle. The basket has a nice coating on it which I'm sure helps with resonance. Very will designed! The midrange 3.5inch provides great spatial rendition and really widens sound stage without sounding hollow. Vocals and guitar notes really come to life and provide overall depth to the music. The tweeters have a smooth rolloff without sounding tinny or harsh. Cymbals and digital ticks sounded quite clear and precise. A nice finish to round out the package. This set also gets loud if thats your thing. I have these installed in the front doors of my 2004 Ford F150 with sound deadening material. They are powered by a D4S JP95 amplifier which also runs my rear door speakers and subwoofers. The amplifier is rated at 120w RMS x 4 +450 x 1 on the subwoofer channel. The CT Sounds Mesos have no issue handling the power from the amp and the gain is set at just under 1/4. Overall I'm actually quite impressed with this set and for $250 they're a really good deal. Hope that helps you with your decision!

Great sound, great price
I've had these a couple months now, took me a while to set them up properly. My recent build had one goal - decent sound quality while loud. These speakers deliver on that hands down, these things scream at high volumes! It seems like the louder they get, the better they sound. Now to be clear, I have two sets of these on front stage, with 400 watts going to each side, pre amp EQ and run off the included passive crossovers. I'd recommend this setup minimum, don't get these and replace stock speakers off the stock head unit, or even just a low power shitty amp. These things need power. But if you have the electrical and equipment to run them, these are amazing!

Not bad but not great
Not bad speakers. The mid woofers leave a bit to be desired. They have a kit that’s a bit cheaper with tweeters and 6.5” speakers. If I had to do it all over again I’d order that and buy the 3.5” speakers this kit comes with separate

Impressive
I ordered these not knowing anything about CT Sounds. Internet based company is all I could find. Took the gamble and well it paid off. Very Good sound reproduction clear and precise. Fair warning these are very power hungry and will come to life at high volumes. The speakers are very well made for the price paid. Make sure you have custom brackets if you are going to install these into your vehicle. Installed in 2021 Dodge Challenger. Had to make custom brackets for the dash. The Large woofer fits in the 6x9 location and clears the window in the door with a basic 6x9 adapter. Crossovers are a bit large but for the power they take its not that big of a deal. You will need to create a custom adapter for the tweeters and choose where you want to place them. Happy installing.

Fantastic Component Set!
I absolutely love these speakers! Hefty magnets on the woofers provide tight clean midbass. the low end is so good I will use them without a subwoofer for a while. Im really enjoying the sound from these speakers. Ive been doing car audio for over 30 years and every now and then a product really impresses me. This is one of those. I cant stop listening to them.
