I hate cooking... but this air fryer changed my life!!!
I never write reviews... but I'm obsessed with this air fryer. No joke it has literally changed my life hahhaah. First off - I don't cook. Never have. Always hated it. I'm neurodivergent and I'm very good at a lot of things but just not in the kitchen - I hate the prep, the smells, the number of options for tools and pans, etc... the way the stove or oven heats up the whole kitchen, and the huge amount of dishes and whatever you have to clean up afterwards. I think the thing that bothers me the most though is that it's hard to find good recipes - people will just share horrible recipes that take forever to make (and groceries are expensive these days!) You spend all that money and end up with something gross. Or I would mess up and burn something or undercook something because there are so many nuances that go unspoken in cooking. All ovens have different internal temperatures... cooking on gas or electric stoves affect the types of pans you may be using... I don't even know which pans are good for what types of foods... there's so much to consider and it all goes widely unsaid in recipes. So I often would try to make something and end up throwing it out. Not fun. Long story short, it's just not worth it to me. Luckily my spouse is an amazing cook and loves the art of it. He knows how to make anything and how to take a recipe and alter it to be GOOD, so he does all the cooking! Fast-forward to him having to leave for about a month this summer and I'm really struggling in the kitchen alone every day. My mom suggested getting an air fryer to make my life easier - just a small one (she recommended this exact model backed by research and thousands of great reviews). I thought okay maybe it would be nice to heat up some frozen food and have it be cooked better than a microwave at least, I don't know. I always thought air fryers were a gimicky thing - just another dumb gadget to take up space on the counter. Not interested. But I ordered it anyway... she was adamant I would like it. And oh. My god, was she right. I had no idea!! First of all, pretty much everything frozen or pre-packaged has air fryer instructions on the back. You just dump some stuff in, set the temperature and time, and in a few mintiess, you have something that is PERFECTLY COOKED. It's too simple. Nothing comes out rubbery or unevenly cooked like in the microwave. Everything is chef's kiss - crispy, cooked, perfect... almost like grill-level good. And you just push a button. It's so small, there are no pans or excess dishes to wash after. You just wait for the basket to cool off then rinse with a bit of soap and water the end. Or you can even use those air fryer basket liners - even less clean up! Then I tried making real food... he air fryer recipes on the internet are sooooo simple - buy a thing, season it, maybe spray the air fryer basket with some olive or avocado oil, then press a button. So then I tried to make stuff not from frozen bags! I made buffalo wings... brussel sprouts... cheeseburgers... chicken breast... asparagus... even steak!!! It may sound stupid but this is HUGE for me. Like - I bought raw meat and was 100% confident that the air fryer would cook it correctly and that I wouldn't make a mess or overwhelm myself. And that's exactly what happened! Quick, easy dinners in MINUTES with no mess. It's a miracle. It's like, what I always wanted cooking to be lol, just pop something in a little drawer, set the time and temp and bam, it's done. It reminds of that gadget in Back to the Future 2 - I hope someone else remembers this - when they go visit the McFly house in the future and they're cooking dinner in that "hydrator" thing and the mom pops the food in the drawer and says "hydrate level 4, please" and the food comes out perfect in like 30 seconds, hahaha. THAT'S what I always wanted and THAT'S what the air fryer is to me!!! I'm so obsessed. My spouse is back and I've been cooking multiple nights a week and he is STUNNED he can't stop laughing at my new obsession and is also very impressed that the stuff I'm air frying is really good! So he calls me the air fryer queen now. I just bought another one - a 4 qt. Chefman model so I can cook multiple things at once! So anyway - if you hate cooking and never thought you had a chance... I'm here to tell you there is hope haha. And this lil mini 2 qt. chefman is a hero for the ages.

Great Replacement!
I love my new Chefman air fryer. I had to replace my old manual dial-type Chefman air fryer with a digital one. I broke the manual dial-type air fryer by turning the dial to turn the timer off one time too many when my food was done before the time ran out (I didn't want to run the fryer empty to run the timer out). The new digital air fryer is just what I needed. It's quiet, cooks quickly, doesn't take up a lot of space, and the interior basket won't eventually flake off and wear away when cleaning. Most importantly, to turn off the machine if my food is done before the time ends, all I have to do is press a button to turn it off.

Great quick cooking for one
Got this so I would not have to fire up the larger air fryer just to make one hotdog or one hamburger patty or a handful of french fries for one person at lunch. I like the air fryers because they cook very fast. The basket is about 6 in.² so maybe one chicken breast or two or three legs or a few thighs is all you’re going to fit in it. It is so quiet that you will not even know it is on easy to clean and rinse out kind of like you’re washing a small bowl. It is slower than the larger model. It took 10 minutes to fry up a handful of frozen fries and two small battered fish fillets were nine minutes. I used silicone liners that exactly fit it to make clean up even easier. The only drawback is it’s slightly slower than the larger model, but it still makes the food very crispy. all in all It’s just what I needed for cooking something quick for one person.

I like it.
I like it. It has a slightly weird smell at first. I am hoping that will go away with time. I like the simplicity of the controls. I can throw something in, press "on" and it will cook it at 400 for 15 minutes and beep halfway through to remind me to shake it. You can adjust the time and temperature easily enough but it turns out 15 minutes at 400 works for a lot of things. The machine doesn't take up too much counter space and the basket can be put in the dishwasher top rack. Really the weird smell, which seems to be getting better, is the only negative. I think the interior is coated with PFAS (teflon) forever chemicals which is unfortunate but pretty standard these days.

Pretty amazing
I like how easily I can change cook time and temp to get food absolutely perfect. Not almost perfect. Not rubber microwave compromise perfect. Absolutely perfect. 7:45 for my lazy burritos. At 380. Meatballs, 9 minutes at 375. I can drop the temp and increase time for a different center on things. I can go real low temp and extend the time for dryer things. It works the way I'd expect it to work. Chicken comes out perfect. And if it's not, I can get it that way next time. I love this thing. Can't wait to try roasting coffee.

Amazed at how easy it is to use.
I'm amazed at how easy it is to use this mini air fryer. Frying pans I usually would have used the past two days are collecting dust :) In the cupboard. Easy to clean. Pulling items out of the freezer —fish sticks, hamburgers, etc. —are quickly transformed into tantalizing meals. One non-complimentary comment - enjoy the notification to shake / flip items; however, the tone is so soft you need to be very near the air fryer to hear it. It would be nice to be able to increase the sound.

Freidora a vapor
