DEWALT 20V MAX* LED Work Light/Flashlight (DCL040)

This DeWalt work light is a game-changer. The brightness easily lights up my entire workspace, and the battery life is impressive. It’s sturdy, well-balanced, and clearly built with the same durability you expect from DeWalt. The adjustable angles make it perfect for any project, whether indoors or on the job site. Definitely worth every penny!

This flashlight lasts typically 9 to 11 hours. It produces a focused light and is fairly bright. The main benefit of it is that it can be used as an emergency light with rechargeable batteries. By the way, you do not have to use the very expensive original Dewalt 18 V Max battery, $20 clones work just as fine. If you have several of such batteries at home for your tools, you will have a rechargeable light lasting a long time for the cases of a power outage. Or you can take it camping and save on alkaline batteries. I bought it specifically for this purpose, as a backup source of light if electricity goes out, as it did twice in our area during an ice storm with wind. If the light is on sale for half price, it is a good value. It can also be handy to illuminate work area if you have to do some work in the crawl space or in area without light. It is not an amazingly bright light, it produces about the same amount of light as an average bright flashlight, it is not meant to illuminate the whole room, but it is a decent amount of light for most purposes.

Really good quality and super bright. I’m a power lineman and we use these at work and they have been dropped in water and rained on and still work like they are new. Highly recommend

This is a good flashlight. While it’s similar in design to the old 18v Dewalt it’s smaller and brighter. I just use a 2amp, 20v,battery which seems to last longer than the 18v Dewalt battery in the old flashlight.

Great light and not too big and bulky. Love it and it isnt hard on the battery at all!

First LED spotlight was defective and missing belt clip. The replacement LED spotlight shines bright and switch works as it should. Second unit still missing the belt clip as shown in picture and description. Keeping this unit. Still wish it had the belt clip.

These are great flashlights and don't use much battery juice at all. I have had one for years and really like it. I bought this one to take to the Philippines since they have "brown-outs" frequently.
