Once again, I see people are leaving reviews who are not qualified to leave reviews. This absolutely works on HID cards (as long as you are cloning the proper type). This worked fine for creating backup copies of our gated community entrance cards that warped from the heat due to being left in the cars. The new fobs are easier to carry and are less prone to warping. However...For this to work, you need to understand what type of credential you have. This inexpensive device ONLY works for lower-security, older generation, Low-Frequency credentials (125khz cards). There are many variations of cards or fobs and the different technologies and security levels are too complex to describe here. This device will NOT work on higher security cards (13.56 MHz). Details you should be aware of: This creates an exact duplicate of your original credential. You are cloning your original. This means whenever the clone fob is used, the system will trace it back as if you used your original credential. If you plan on using this for "sneaky" reasons, just know when the copy is used, the system's activity log will think YOU entered the door or gate each time. If you ever lose your original card and report it lost, the access control system administrator will deactivate your original credential which will ALSO deactivate your cloned credential. Also, If your card is already destroyed or deactivated, this product will not work. This should not be used to give credentials out to friends, neighbors or co-workers at-will...unless you are ok with each use appearing as if YOU are using it every time the clone is used. It gets really tricky if your scenario also tracks when you exit. If it does, your system may not allow a subsequent entry until it sees an exit first. So, if you went through a door and then someone tries to enter the same door before you leave, it may not allow entry (It depends on how your system is configured). It's important to understand your scenario and make copies for the right reasons. The legitimate use case for this is to serve as a true backup. Debunking dopey reviewers: For those that stated "it doesn't work" only means they are not using it with compatible cards or fobs. For those that stated "it doesn't work for HID cards" only tells you they have no idea what they're talking about. It means they were trying to clone a higher security card/fob. For the very inexpensive price of this tool, it is no surprise it is only compatible with older, lower security technologies. I have industry experience and know what I am talking about. In summary - it worked for me and paid for itself after saving two $20 card replacement fees. NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. It does the job. Feels like cheap happy meal toy but I put 2 AAA batteries in it and cloned my 1326 proxcardii to the included card no problem. I bought a T5577 ring to clone to, it did not beep saying the clone worked but when I tried ring later at building door it worked no problem.

Doesn't work.. feel played

I wasn't expecting much from this device but it actually worked. I was able to make copies of my pool card. Deducted one star because it's a bit finicky with placement. I had to move the device around the blank card while pressing the "write" button until I hit the right spot.

Feels cheap, does not work with everything. Hid cards don't work, advanced fobs don't work

Works as expected. Quick and easy operation. Tip: someone you have to repeat some steps moving the card or fob just a little bit

Doesn’t work at all

No funciona en los tag comunes de 125Hz Tk4100 y Em4100 (azul) Me imagino que solo sirven en los que son iguales a los que trae incluidos (gris)
