Laugh and Grow Bible Family Advent Devotional: A Four-Week Journey Through the Christmas Story

Loved how this brought Jesus into our Christmas season. My kids love answering the questions each night. Great addition for any family looking to add in the real reason for the season.

My son really enjoyed reading through this for the Christmas season, and we liked how well everything was explained for his age. It will be one we can do each year as he grows as well. He’s 4.

This was great to use over Advent, helping to keep the true meaning of Christmas all about Jesus. We loved this book, and it kept us engaged and doing fun activities through the advent. I would highly recommend this book to Catholic families who have small children; they will love it. The way the book is written is very engaging and makes it a fun read.

My kids thoroughly enjoyed this book this Advent

This is such a cute book for Advent and I'm really excited to read it with my almost 5 year old. For each of the four weeks there is an introduction, then five parts to read during that week. After each part there is a Talk, Say, Pray, and Remember that helps encourage discussion of what you just read. Also, there is a little "game" of some kind after each part. There's an additional page to read on Christmas morning, and several pages to write Christmas memories, which is a super cute idea so you can look back on the previous year's memories. The book isn't very big and I'm not sure I'd want to pay $15 for it, but I got it on sale so I didn't pay full price. The pages of ours are a little wavy, but that might be due to being delivered on a rainy day so it possibly got that way from the humidity. The book doesn't appear to have actually gotten wet at all, so I'm not upset about it or planning to return it due to that. We also have the Laugh & Grow Bible for Kids, which has a very similar format to this Advent book. I highly recommend that one too! And there's a Laugh & Grow Family Easter Devotional coming out in January 2026.
