I purchased this for my elderly mother, who is experiencing memory loss and was often confusing her days or forgetting to check her calendar. I bought this for a friend who has dementia. She really loves it and relies on it numerous times throughout the day. You can set alarms as reminders to take meds, tune in to favorite tv shows, meal times, etc. My friend lives with her sister. When the sister saw the clock she had to have one too for her office at work. She said many of her much younger coworkers wanted to know where she got the clock because they wanted one too. The reason for 4 stars is not the price or quality, its because you need to manually adjust the clock setting twice a year when the time changes, so don't lose the instructions.
