Excellent value and quality
I like Attwood products in general they have decent quality and fair prices. The canoe paddle is perfect for adults light weight nice grips and excellent blade they work smoothly in the water. I have a Radisson 14P Canoe with original wood paddles and whatever they used for wood finish has pealed away and exposed the raw wood blades to the elements so they are pretty weathered and starting to de-laminate and needed replacement. I chose the Attwood 5 foot paddle because it matched the length of the original now all i need to do is find a set of oar locks that fit and they will work just like the factory ones. I have never seen a canoe with oar locks that you can row so that feature may be pretty cool if I'm out alone. I am very happy with the paddles and would buy them again

Worked well
I purchased two of the 6' paddles and used them for around 17 hours of paddling and noticed a slight curve forming on the last 5 inches of the paddle, I stored it laying down on that side and they straightened out so may not be an issue. These are not the best paddles available but they are a good value and work well for the cost.

Good length for short or tall adults. Well built.
I think these are fairly stout and a good length for adults, but not for children. The length is not adjustable on these. I consider them to be utilitarian with less aesthetic value over wood paddles. My canoe can be referred to as utilitarian as well. I have paddled with these on lakes as well as fast moving rivers (Yellowstone, Wenatchee) and they work quite well. Paddles are expensive. These are on the moderate side when you shop around. I wouldn't want something less for the type of boating I do. For long periods of paddling I recommend fingerless gloves. Think the size and durability would work to help maneuver a larger power boat if needed. I recommend them.

GREAT VALUE
Look... If you are the kind of person that wants to use your canoe paddle to vault over a high bar or fight a bear? Buy a different paddle... But if you are looking for an inexpensive paddle for propelling a canoe by sticking it in, and pulling on, water? This will give you years of serviceable life... that is... until you decide to push your canoe off something by sticking this in the ground or against a dock, rock, tree or boat... or use it as a walking stick, or slam it in a car door or any other kind of jackassery not fit for a canoe paddle...
