Very sturdy, works well. We use it daily and are very pleased.
This is a very sturdy and well-built machine. It is bigger than I expected but it is well worth the counterspace. (It is larger than most coffee makers.) It works very well at taking the minerals and impurities out of our water. We have 2 humidifiers and 2 c-pap machines and use 1-1.5 gallons per day, so it is used daily. The machine has run smoothly and even though it was an investment, it was well worth it because we don't have to lug heavy jugs home from the store each week. We do need to clean the machine more often than once a month as recommended, but it comes clean easily by using the included citric acid and boiling the water to clean it. I have no problem giving this 5 stars.

Makes great water
Works well. Takes 4 hours to make a gallon of water. Puts off a LOT of heat. Fan can be a bit noisy, but I have it in a closet so I don't hear it.

Quality water, quality product
I’ve been using this water distiller regularly and it does exactly what it promises — delivers clean, pure water every single time. The machine runs about 4 hours per cycle, which is totally expected for this process, and I appreciate knowing it’s doing a thorough job. The end result tastes noticeably fresher than tap or even most bottled water, and I love the peace of mind it brings. The build feels sturdy, it’s simple to set up, and cleanup is straightforward once you get into the rhythm. For the price, it’s an excellent way to ensure you always have distilled water on hand for drinking, cooking, or even mixing with baby formula and herbal remedies. The only drawback for me is the pouring function — it can feel a little clumsy when transferring water to smaller containers. Because of that, I’d give it 4 stars instead of 5. That said, the performance and value are solid, and I’d still recommend it to anyone who cares about the quality of their water. Homestead mama certified 💯 🌱

Does what it supposed to
Easy to use and works as intended. I have already distilled at least 30 gallons to feed my CPAP machine, humidifier and chilli bed. Water is clean and leaves no mineral dust.

Horrible metallic taste
Are the coils made of aluminum? Idk but it can't be healthy to drink water that tastes like aluminum. It's a potent neurotoxin after all. I returned this and bought a waterdrop zero tds filter. Works pretty well so far and no yucky taste. If I really need distilled water I'll make it on my stove or pour grocery store distilled water through the waterdrop to remove the microplastics.

Wise choice thus far
Good quality and built to last. The glass carafe was important to me, and it is of substantial thickness. Distiller is slow to produce, but I suspect that is the nature of the beast. Overall pleased. That said, I have only run it about five times thus far, and I have not evaluated the associated cost of electricity running at 750 watts for 4 hours per gallon. I'd be curious to know if anyone has calculated that aspect.

It is amazing to see the amount and color of the residue from our filtered well water.
This is my first distilled water machine. I was amazed and disgusted at the residue that was left on the bottom of the canister from otherwise "clean" tap water. The distilled water was pure and clean. I put it in my humidifier at night. I have a Dyson air filter that "sees" the contaminants in the air. Typically, it turns to high air mode when the humidifier runs with R.O. water. Now, it runs on low to medium when it senses the added humidity. My wife and I are using distilled water for most of our personal daily water needs. We typically make two gallons a day. I'm not sure how long this machine will last, but it has been great so far. It is simple to use. The handle on the canister won't tighten completely, but it functions well enough. Also, the lid on the canister is difficult to tighten, which can result in water leakage when pouring. We use water for coffee, cooking, drinking, and other daily purposes. Taste has not been an issue with the lack of minerals.
