3500 Gallon Electric Pool Heat Pump for Above Ground Pool 110V

Bought the 30,000 btu for my 16x16 foot square pool that is 48" deep. It is about 7500 gallons. I have a solar blanket on the pool. The heater works great and is very quiet. First time I used it the temp outside was 79. Pool that morning was 72 degrees. By mid afternoon, about 6-8 hours after running the heater the water was 81 degrees (9 degree increase). Normally my pool runs about 4-5 degrees lower than air temperature. This heater had the water 7 degrees warmer than normal. The second time I used had similar response. It's going to give us more swimming days for sure. Installation was fairly easy, but it was very heavy. Two person job. The only issue I had was the suggested adapters for my intex pool did not work. Had to reorder those. But all in all the install was easy. The wireless feature doesn't work - I'm sure because it is too far from my wifi router. That's ok with me because I just manually turn on when I want to run it because I have to turn the pump on at the same time. So that is not an issue for me. I could get a range extender, but don't want to hassle with it. All in all a very good buy when it was on sale and glad we have it. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Not happy with this pump at all, I bought it in early April but didn’t take it out of the box until 2nd week of may and had dents on the outside cover. I’ve never messed with one before but it seems to me that there should be warm water coming out of it all the time instead of a couple times every few mins to almost half hour. Maybe I have it hooked up wrong but I’ve followed the directions even did YouTube searches and I have it hooked up the way it’s supposed to be, just not satisfied as I had it running for 14 hrs straight with the temp set to 88° and didn’t even get to 82, water still felt cold getting in.

I cannot give 5 starts because it will not stay connected to the WiFi. Every time I go into the app I have to add the device again and reconnect it. I have uninstalled the app several times but still will not stay connected. Because of this, I can’t get the timer to set for it to run at night only. Otherwise…it was easy to install and works great. We have an 18’ round metal pool and it keeps the water at whatever temp I set it for but I just have to keep reinstalling the app and checking it. Haven’t noticed a difference in my light bill but we installed it right before summer heat hit.

Replaced another heater which was so much power it ate my solar panels output and then some. Now with the Valpoolfaye, I still generate power while heating the pool, AC in the house running and charging our EV. I even tested the cooling and it was amazing to feel cold water coming into the 88 degree pool. Unit has exceeded my expectations. Went from two 40amp breakers to one and only use 12amps. Pool is 10,000 gal. Had a minor issue with the controller, but called the phone number in the manual and they responded very quickly to send me an update. I have reinstalled the new controller and the unit is working great.

Even though I oversized the heat pump for my small 18 foot pool, the heat pump still takes a full day just to raise the pool water up 2°. I wish it were a bit more powerful.

The first one arrived smashed. The second one arrived smashed as well but useable looking. I had it hooked up and it did not function. I removed the top and found a wire off of the capacitor. I reinstalled the wire and it now functions, but it will only heat the pool to 80 degrees. I haven't figured out if this is normal. seems it should do better than that. My pool is 4000 gallons, and this heater is rated for much more.

Ok, to be clear I didn't know much about pool heaters. I thought the pool would be heated up pretty much instantly, and that is not the case. It takes a lot of time to heat the pool due to the large volume of water. I was told to let it run at least a full 24 hours when opening a pool. The ambient temperature also plays a big factor and you need to use a solar pool cover to help retain the heat, especially overnight. With that said, it does work. I placed my hand over the inlet water and definitely noticed that the water entering the pool is warmer. Installation was easy, just connect the hoses and plug in outlet. Also , the customer service is good and very responsive. I feel confident that they will work with me if there were any issues.

Die Wärmepumpe ist super und hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Wir nutzen sie für einen kleinen Aufstellpool mit ca. 8.000 Litern Wasser. In nur zwei Tagen hat sie das Wasser von 12 auf 26 Grad erwärmt. Dabei läuft sie angenehm leise, was gerade im Garten wirklich positiv auffällt. Die Installation war sehr leicht und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns für einen Bypass-Anschluss entschieden, weil wir so selbst entscheiden können, ob wir nur filtern möchten oder zusätzlich mit der Wärmepumpe heizen. Insgesamt sind wir sehr zufrieden und würden die Pumpe definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Ein COP-Wert von 5,51 bedeutet, dass die Wärmepumpe aus 1 kWh Strom 5,51 kWh Wärme erzeugt. Das entspricht einer Effizienz von 551 %. So die Theorie! Die Wärmepumpe hat aber laut Typenschild eine zusätzliche elektrische Heizung von 1KW. Siehe in Zeile7 : Electric Heater Power 1kW. Wenn also die Wunschtemperatur mehr als 1Grad von der Solltemperatur abweicht, ist immer die reine 1kW Elekroheizung mit dabei. Heißt also im Normalfall, (Typenschild Zeile 5- Rated Power Input = 2,5 KW)verbrauche ich die ganze Zeit ca.2,5 KW ( COP =2!), befor nicht fast die Wunschtemperatur erreicht ist. Wifi Inbetriebnahme = länger beide Pfeitasten gleichzeitig gedrückt halten bis ein Piepton ertönt. Dann erkennt die App die Wärmepumpe. Ist in der beiliegenden Betriebsanleitung falsch. Bei mir hat das Teil 60dB in ein Meter Entfernung. Also aus dem Pool deutlich zu hören. Ansonsten funktioniert die Wärmepumpe dank "heimlichen Boost" sehr gut. Ich würde sie wieder kaufen, weil bei mir ausreichend Solarstrom da ist. Viel Spass im warmen Pool!

Excellent unit. Heated my pool 10 degrees in under 24 hours. BUT, keeps switching into cooling mode on its own and then dropping my temperature. Currently working with manufacturer for solutions. Very polite and trustworthy customer service. They are trying to resolve issue with me and also providing alternative solutions.
