Richbrook Antitheft Number Plate Bolt Kit

All OK but product not as stated as on box no yellow ones replaced with bronze

on my car I was screwing into plastic and was easy if a bit fiddly if you are screwing into steel be careful as they are made of aluminium and could snap if to much force is used

These bolts suited my front number plate on my Focus perfectly as they were self tapping screws however my rear plate mount had a much larger threaded hole that these did not fit.

My expectation was higher. The idea of antitheft screws is good and the only reason I give 2 stars.Unfortunately my screws broke after about 4 turns when attaching the plate. Result: the screw head is off.. The other part is stuck in the number plate and plate holder.Luckily I had a tong and driller to get rid of it. Finally I used common screws to attach my plates.It really looks like that cheap material was used to produce those screws.If they remove the breakpoint after the screw head or use sturdier material it should be fine.

Good product only downfall I have is I can only use the set in the front as they don’t fit the holes on the back of my focus or my dads ecosport due to been metal inserts (my error when ordering), however they will get used to secure number plates to trailers

These screws are firstly a different tread side from the normal UK number plate screws and where the had to screw in to metal I managed to break or de-thread 4 of them.As they are made of aluminium, they are not strong enough to do the job and the ones I get in could easily be snapped of using a screwdriver or a pair of pliers. In my opinion, no more theft proof than normal couch cheaper steel screws and capsDon’t waste your money on these.

Easy to fit, good value, stops the random thief with a screw driver.

Got these as I had to replace a broken plate and gave them a try.They look really neat.Note that the pins on the key can work loose, so take care when tightening and keep the key in its bag in car you need to use it again.
