Coffee... it's a very personal experience. What I may like, you may not... and vice versa. THIS one though, wow. I've never been a big believer in organics. I understand the idea behind organics and its sound, but I didn't really believe that organic anything was better tasting than scientifically grown produce... until now. I like coffee... actually I love coffee. If you wake up to a fresh pot of "name brand" coffee brewed with pre ground beans thru a white or brown paper coffee filter with tap water you are doing your taste buds and your stomach a serious disservice. Everyone likes to think they are a coffee connoisseur. I'm here to help, not criticize... there is a big difference. Let's get started with just the basics. Coffee contains oils, lots of oils, and acid, a bad thing. Do you or have you ever seen the foam on top of a freshly brewed cup of coffee? That's the result of acid in the bean after processing (roasting) the bean. It creates the bitter taste you may have experienced if you were paying attention. It's the result of an inferior bean, period, regardless of what anyone says, it's simply an inferior bean. I'm not here to debate this fact so if you dissent don't bother here I don't have time to respond, if you are still reading please listen closely so I can tell you how to make the BEST coffee you can make, period. There are two methods... first is the French Press with pre filtered or spring water and freshly ground beans which were kept in the refrigerator, not the freezer. Look it up on YouTube. It is the purest form of coffee you can make and is exceptionally cheap and the most wonderful cup of coffee you can imagine. Coming in a close second is coffee that is made with a brewing machine that offers these few things... 1. a charcoal filter for your water, 2. a grinder built into your coffee maker and 3. a metal filter. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE A PAPER FILTER if you want best you can get. A paper filter will instantly soak up the oils off of the beans you chose to spend so much of your hard earned money for and ruin what would have been a wonderful cup of coffee. You get it now right? If you've made a cup of coffee black and poured it into your cup and seen a floating substance on the top of your coffee, its not because the cup is dirty, its the oils off of the beans themselves... its flavor in and of itself... its what you are paying for. You don't want the foam, it's acid... what you do want however is the oily look on top of your cup of coffee, the desirable oil of flavor that you paid for. NO PAPER. This particular blend of Organic coffee is absolutely amazing and far past a steal at this price for an extremely low acidic and Organic blend... extremely underpriced as it should be priced at $30/lb.... its low acidity (undetectable to my taste) and quality flavors are second to none period. In my opinion I find that real Kona coffee is underwhelming compared to this. I know this sounds like a stretch but its not even close IMO. IF IN FACT this company stays true to form, I will not buy another coffee.

Finally! Good organic dark roast beans
These beans are organic, smell amazing, are excellent quality and make a well rounded, bold while not too bitter cuppa coffee. My husband and I love our coffee. This is one that we keep on subscription and have for nearly a year now. Dump the junk, skip the mermaid. This is better.

Good coffee and no heartburn after
Second time buying. Good coffee. Good price too. I love plain coffee and I notice that I was having heartburn after a common ground coffee by Gevalia. I noticed when I was over my son’s house using the coffee grain that you grind right before using, no heartburn. This is the first coffee grain I bought and no indigestion. Now I know that my coffee at least is not mixed. No acidity. And strong enough.

Good Coffee at a Reasonable Price
Always get the whole bean in both the decaf and caffeinated dark roast to maintain as much freshness as possible. The cost is reasonable and the taste is good if you prefer a strongest tasting cup of coffee. I compare this to Kicking Horse which used to be my go-to coffee.

Vegan Marathon runner uses for cold brew.
I gave up coffee for months and my body just seemed to take way too long to get moving. Just 2-3 weeks ago , I was so tired at work I went and bought a Dunkin Donut coffee, (which I would never do even in my coffee drinking days because it isn't organic and whatever ) but the improvement in my tired arms and my alertness level where noticeable. So I read enough about cold brew to reduce acidity and the next day ordered this Mayorga Organic Coffee and a cheap coffee grinder and a cold brew pot. I have never ground coffee before but Cold Brewers say organic fresh ground is what is needed so I just went that route. Why Mayorga? I liked their company's story. They had good ratings. They seemed to understand the big picture of making a great product that is good for all parties concerned. So I took a chance. So happy I took a chance with Organic Mayorga coffee for cold brew. I love it. I get soooo much more done and I think it is more than the caffeine alone. For months I was dragging myself to go for a run , although I did still do it every day. Occasionally I would use a caffeine pill that was supposedly organically sourced. But while that pill helped a little, I think there is something more in coffee than caffeine and it works great. No problem at all any more going for a high cadence run even in the hot Florida sun in the afternoon. No more beating myself up and saying "what the heck is wrong with me? I eat so good but I and my muscle recovery is great but I am just dragging" Oh this is huge for my fellow Vegan athletes. I noticed when I had my Dunkin Donuts coffee, my recent addiction to peanut butter (yes organic) went away. I am glad it did, I suspect the fat was clogging the pipes but my body craved it. I also noticed that very day, my happiness with raw blended vegetables increased. So last night I threw away 3 jars of peanut butter, gratefully, because drinking coffee seems to reduce my fat cravings. I can tell you that I loaded up on lots more fresh vegetables and fruits than during the months I gave up coffee. And instead of raw blended vegetables feeling like a chore, they are appealing to me. So what went into the blender this morning? beets , orange , Kale , spinach , carrots, cabbage AND... ...cold brew Mayorga organic Coffee. This morning started out with me getting so much done that I didn't get a chance to run until the afternoon when the temps where reported around 90 with a "feels like" temperature of almost 100. And I enjoyed every minute of it. My attitude is great and has been noticeably so for the last two weeks. Other than greatly reducing reading the news "fake news", the only variable is the Organic coffee. I liked this Mayorga coffee so much that I sent some to my brother (along with a grinder) and he loved it doing hot brew. So I sent some to my sister. This is a great gift that clearly says" See how much I love you? I got you the good stuff!" Sometimes, when I open the fridge door and I see the bag, I just open the bag and take a few deep breaths. It smells great ,boosts my mood. I plan to run many more marathons if the running industry doesn't get destroyed by lockdowns. Cold brew Organic Coffee and raw veggies feels like a secret weapon. Thanks Mayorga.
