Review: This clamp grips harder than my life holds together - I bought the SmallRig Super Clamp Kit thinking I’d use it occasionally. Turns out this thing has become the most reliable relationship in my life. At first I just used it for my camera setup, which it handled like a champ. Then I realized it can clamp onto basically anything. Desk, shelf, chair, random pole, probably a tree if I really wanted to get creative. At this point I’m convinced it could hold my entire life together if I asked nicely. The build quality is no joke. This thing grips so tight it feels personal. Once it’s locked in, it’s not moving unless you file a formal request and wait 3 to 5 business days. I’ve started using it for things that have nothing to do with filming. Phone holder, light mount, temporary “I need this right here right now” solution. It’s basically the duct tape of camera gear, but somehow more aggressive. Only downside is now I look at everyday objects and think, “I could clamp something to that.” It’s changed how I see the world. If you need something held in place and you don’t trust gravity to do its job, this is it.
