Darning Foot
i received the darning foot in envelope with plastic bag with the foot. No there were not any instructions with it. Luckily I'd seen a youtube video on it and making adjustments to it. but i simply put it on the machine and starting stippling. I had been trying for weeks doing the various things people told me to try for my machine since i can not drop my feed dogs. and i am a new quilter/sewer. But i put this foot on with no problems (having seen it in a video already helped, might have been an issue if i had not, but once you've removed one they all seem to just go the same way so i prob would have figured it out, it was not hard). i was worried about bouncing i'd seen in the video and was prepare to do the rubber band trick but i did not have to. the foot works GREAT! not only was i able to stippling right away but i was able to even write my name very neatly with the foot. The only problem i had (which maybe just me others with better eyes may have not problem. it is a closed foot. the area between the two red lines could prob do without. it gets in the way of me seeing the tread tracks in the quilt, but again someone with better eyes may or may not have that problem. I also saw how to cut that out on video so i may do that if it gets too bad. overall the product was as stated and exactly as pictured. it was in great condition and i have been stippling away with it. I am VERY happy with the overall experience and plan to order another one as backup! and it was shipped quickly so i did not have to wait forever to to get it. i am happy with this product and the service!

Nice people! I would definitaly buy from them again ~
I am just starting to learn how to use a sewing machine. I'll probably never be great or even use it enough to pay for itself - I just want to learn it for now for the sake of learning it - basic repairs, &c. Really getting into this craft can cost many thousands of dollars very quickly, and that would defeat my purpose. I bought a used machine - very strong, but no built-in computers. While I fully understand how that might be preferable for a person doing 'production' work, it's overkill for me. I just really respect the craft, and want to learn it to some degree. I'm not interested in paying the high prices which so many charge for their 'specialty hobby' accessories. I'm more interested in dealing with companies which find reasonably priced items so that the craft is more accessible to people like me. This is one of those companies. They packed it well, shipped it quickly, and the item is well worth the price. I don't really know if the higher-priced 'professional' tool is much better (so for those comparisons, you'll have to look elsewhere), and I really don't care. This item is solid and works well. Most of all, these are really nice people to deal with.

Great foot, no instructions
I am an advanced beginning sewing and was ready to try my hand at free motion quilting and bought this foot. It came by itself in a ziploc baggie with no instructions at all. I had to fiddle with it a while to get it on and again to get it to work without a huge tangle of thread on the underside. That being said, once I figured it all out (which really didn't take all that long) it works fine. I haven't done any real quilting with it yet, though. I have just practiced on scraps. If I use it on a real project and it doesn't work right, I will update this review. All in all, its a good foot for a great price, it would just be really helpful if there were instructions or at the very least a link to instructions online. You can google instructions, but they won't be for this foot exactly and may not help.

It fits my older machine
I have never used a free-motion foot before and wondered if it would fit my old Montgomery Ward machine. It does and does a beautiful job. If I should ever have to replace it (as it is made of plastic and I'm not sure of how it will wear) I would be willing to buy an all metal foot. I am getting into quilting and am not sure how long it will last but for now I am happy with it.

Perfect choice!
I was looking for a darning foot for my Singer Ingenuity machine and found this one. I wanted to use it for free motion quilting and this one works perfectly. It is a low shank, easy to attach and the clear foot makes it easy to see your stitching as you go along. Excellent price, secure packaging and fast ship time.

Cheap... but that's why I bought it
I was just learning to free motion quilt earlier this year so didn't want to go all in with expensive notions in case I wasn't any good at it. Well, I am enjoying it a lot and already in the market for a new quilting foot. Pros: Price and the clear foot Cons: Quality and modified to work properly The plastic where you attach the foot to the machine is very soft and become distorted over a relatively short period of time is you're changing feet fairly often for piecing then quilting. This distortion causes the foot to lean out to the left so the needle no longer goes down right in the center of the opening. If you want to zigzag or satin stitch around an applique, it's not happening after this occurs. You'll risk breaking your needle when it hits the clear plastic. Still, I'd recommend getting this cheap one to see what features you like or hate before spending a good chunk of money on one. It arrived quickly so you'll be able to get right to sewing.

Works Great!
Great for the need to free motion quilt and embroidery. Some tips I would offer is do not use a darning plate, it is not necessary. Your machine will still allow you to free motion quilt with the feed dogs up, you just need to leave the stitch length at a 2 or 3 depending on your design. I've been using this with my Brother XL series and it works perfectly!
