I bought this sunrise alarm clock mainly to improve my sleep routine and replace a basic bedside alarm, and it’s been a noticeable upgrade in a few areas. The sunrise light feature is probably the best part. It gradually brightens in the morning instead of a sudden alarm, which makes waking up feel a lot less harsh. It doesn’t completely replace needing an alarm sound for heavy sleep days, but it definitely helps ease into the morning better than a standard phone alarm. The sound machine feature is also surprisingly useful. There are plenty of nature sounds to choose from, and I’ve been using it mostly for white noise at night. It helps cut down on background distractions and makes it easier to fall asleep, especially when the house is quiet but not completely silent. The volume adjusts easily, and it gets loud enough to actually mask noise without sounding distorted. I also like the variety of light settings. There are a lot of color and brightness options, so it doubles as a bedside lamp if needed. The display is fully dimmable too, which is a nice touch because bright digital clocks can be annoying at night. The Bluetooth speaker is a nice bonus, though I’d say it’s more of a convenience feature than a standout one. It works fine for casual listening, but it’s not something I’d rely on for high-quality audio. If I had one complaint, it’s that the controls can take a little getting used to since there are so many functions packed into one device. It’s not difficult, but it does take a bit of time to learn where everything is. Overall, this is a solid all-in-one bedside device. It works well as a sunrise alarm, sound machine, and night light, and it’s been helpful in building a more consistent and calmer sleep routine.

I tried both the Philips (100+) sunrise alarm clock and this JALL budget one, and I was really blown away by how good JALL was, especially considering the price. While the capabilities might be a bit flooded (probably more buttons and functions that this little alarm really needs/can take) I really appreciated being able to see the day of the week and most of all, being able to CHOOSE snooze duration and whether the light stays on or off after snooze - which was a real game changer for me and what I found myself wishing for after trying Philips, Reacher, and Hatch Restore. It is also extremely bright at its highest light level (20), bright enough to fill a whole room with light, so really not much if any of a downgrade from the Philips in terms of brightness. And while it may not have the perfectly smooth temperature curve and a bona fide sunset simulation (there is a sleep mode, but it plays the cool multicolor lights that seem to float across the screen rather than a "sunset simulation" - so not necessarily a downgrade), the sunset simulation was really quite good - I was quite impressed on how it wasn't just flipping through solid color LED lights (like the Hatch) but was matching temperature going from dim-bright, and red-orange-white pretty darn well and very similar to the Philips for only a fraction of the price. It is also very compact - taking up a fraction of the desk space than Hatch or the Philips (heavy 2000s computer back lol). There are also multiple sound level options to choose from. Additionally, I appreciated the option to turn on either a solid color LED (red, blue) or a multicolor LED night light (unlike the Philips which despite its temperature curve only allows you to turn on the white LED light as a lightnight). Even if you use the dimmer to turn off the display when sleeping at night, it will automatically turn back on when you go to adjust something or hit snooze in the morning - pretty cool (or annoying feature). Also there is a USB charging port in the back - how cool is that! The only thing that I wasn't too impressed about was the choice of sounds - not the best or most natural selection. The sound quality is not great. I would have definitely liked more ambient nature sounds both as an alarm or sleeping music. There is only a small selection of white noise available. Overall, I think that this is a thoughtfully designed alarm clock, and one at a very accessible/unbeatable price. If you're someone who has trouble waking up in the morning not feeling groggy or working on sleep hygenie who wants to try a "sunrise alarm clock" I would highly recommend this one! it's a very impressive little clock, especially for the price!

Made a big difference in waking up due to the light. My complaint would be the interface is really clunky being in the sides. It makes it hard to turn off the alarm and setting up is not the easiest as well.

I am absolutely thrilled with this gorgeous alarm (and so much more!) The design is simple -- and simplicity is elegance. There are many controls but they're easy to use and there are great instructions. The alarm light gets super bright, but it also has mood lighting -- washes of gorgeous color. Then there's the white noise, the nature sounds -- I'm listening to thunder and rain right now -- and you can use Bluetooth for music! I'm getting another one for the guest room because on top of it all, it's affordable!

If you hate the way an alarm clock jolts you awake in the morning, then this clock is for you. I LOVE THIS CLOCK! The sunrise feature is just beautiful, and you can adjust both the duration and brightness. It starts BEFORE the alarm goes off, so you basically wake gently due to the light, then your alarm goes off at the scheduled time. The alarm sounds are lovely and realistic, and they don't sound tinny or cheap. (I like the birds.) There are more sounds you can use to lull you to sleep, and you can program the clock to shut off after a certain period. Again, volume etc. is all adjustable. This clock has a million features, but the setup is super easy. One tip: read the instruction section for the setting you're working with first, then start pushing buttons. I was a little too slow, so the clock kept timing out and I had to redo it. No big deal though. The mood colors are really neat, and I LOVE the nature sounds. The white noise is pretty good too, and usually I'm not a fan. These are gentle, not annoying. This clock is equally good for children and adults , even babies. I've been wanting one of these for ages, and this clock ticked all of the boxes at a reasonable price. I am totally happy with it. I highly recommend it! UPDATE: It's May, 2026 and my clock is still running like a champ. I bought one for my sister and she absolutely loves it too. (I may have to get one for her son who also loves it and keeps pushing all of the buttons.) The wide variety of settings lets me change things up so I never get bored. Listening to the campfire sound as I fell asleep on cold winter nights was so soothing. I love the thunderstorm sound too. The mood lights are fun as well. I like to match the colors to the sound. (I hope that makes sense.) I was glad to see that this clock got so many five star reviews. Normally I'm not one to make a fuss over a product, but I am just enjoying this one so much I had to make an exception. You will not be disappointed with this clock, guaranteed! Okay, I'm done raving now.

I cannot say enough good things about this clock. We made the right decision buying it. Everything about it is awesome and works great! From the multiple color options and lighting, to the sleep noises and natural noises you can choose, this clock is the best ever! The instructions are very specific and clear on set up and makes it very easy to understand how to work the clock. Highly recommend this!

I LOVE THIS CLOCK. I wasn't even planning on writing a review, but I like it so much I had to show some love. I really only purchased this item because I have to be up at the crack of dawn for work and I have a hard time waking up when it's still dark. I wanted a sunrise alarm feature and this thing is PERFECT for that. It gradually lights up my whole bedroom simulating a sunrise. This clock has like a ton of features which is awesome. There's so many buttons that I actually had to read the manual for once but it’s super easy to use. You can adjust the brightness of the light and use it as a little lamp, night light, and you can even change the colors and effects for ambient mood lighting. The alarm and speaker are LOUD. It has dual speakers for a more immersive experience. Very nice speaker for the white noise/looped sound effects. There's many different alarm sounds too. Although you can connect your phone via bluetooth, I wouldn't use this to play music as my JBL speaker is better for this, but you have the option which is nice. The real reason I'm writing this review is because of the ambient noise or white noise feature. I live in the city next to a very loud and busy street. I started using this feature out of curiosity and I sleep like a baby now! I just focus on the sound and eventually fall asleep without even realizing it. The speaker is crystal clear and really excels with this feature. You have so many options to choose from but I usually switch between the crashing waves sound or the camp fire sound. I also dropped this thing by accident from about 5 feet and it didn't even leave a scratch. Super high quality build and for only $30!

This is such a cool clock, light, Bluetooth speaker, and noise machine!! I bought it for the sunrise alarm. The light slowly brightens to your specs. I don't use the sound, just the light. It goes off an hour after it reaches full brightness (if I don't turn it off). The sound is great. I have yet to try all the functions. I like turning on the RGB light at night while watching TV. It's pretty and streamlined. The controls are pretty intuitive. (I got the white.)
