These nets are life changing! I love them and so do my horses!
Top marks for the HayChix slow feed hay nets! I have two performance horses who eat, well, like horses. These nets have changed my feeding routine and improved my horses quality of life...and mine!!! At first I was hugely skeptical about using a hay net as part of my daily feeding program. Other nets I have tried have lasted only a few days, have been difficult and clumsy to fill and hang, and the hay ends up as bedding 😕I’m also a Prime snob...and the HayChix feeders are not available with Prime - but don’t let this dissuade you, they are absolutely worth the extra shipping cost! This is actually the second time I have ordered these nets, and only because they are lifesavers! I work 12-hour shifts as a surgical nurse, and every minute I can save in my morning routine is golden. With these nets, I can prepare 48 hours of hay and just change out the nets in the morning. Each net holds 30-35 pounds of hay (half a small square bale). I have found that there is less waste of hay using these nets, and now that the horses are used to having 24-hour access to their hay, they tend to “graze” on their nets, coming and going and munching throughout the day, instead of chowing down on the flakes I used to throw out and pacing the paddock like maniacs waiting for their next meal. So I spent a little more on HayChix’s excellent (and did I mention extremely well made, super easy to use, and durable) hay nets, but I feel like they have already paid for themselves by saving me time, decreasing wasted hay, and improving my horse’s ability to graze more slowly and naturally through a whole day. I recommend these nets to anyone who wants the best for themselves AND their horses! UPDATE: Now almost three years later and my HayChix nets are still in daily use and going strong! I honestly have only the best things to say about these excellent hay nets. I save on average two bales a week using these nets versus loose feeding, and with the cost of hay creeping ever-higher, these nets save me money, time, and keep my horses safer, healthier, and happy. And did I mention, they are practically indestructible!?! They take a beating from my horses and I have only had to use the included extra rope to repair one break in one square of the netting once, about two years ago. A huge thank you to HayChix and their amazing product!

Best hay net on the market
This is the second one I purchased. The material is more durable then the ones u get a tractor or any feed supply. I have a large draft horse that shreds the cheap hay nets. This one was so good I bought a second one so I can keep them filled. It’s large and not a hassle to fill up. Spend the extra money on these as they will last a long time. Very durable.

Super hay nets
This is the best product!. It can be easily loaded with hay. The Hoggle is super - net can be loaded and hung with a carabiner in 30 seconds, it is stable and is a nice slow feeder. There is not waste of hay on the floor. I just love it.

BRILLIANT! Perfect for soaking hay!
My horse is recovering from founder and needs his hay soaked before he can eat it, and he needs to be slowed down rather than “hoovering” it up! These nets are the BEST! I have purchased two and am about to purchase another so I can really keep my horse’s assembly line of ready hay going! I usually have one full bag soaking in the tub for 30-60 minutes, then I hang it by the rope to drip dry while he’s working on the other hay net. It keeps the hay up off the ground, the holes are the perfect size, and it’s DURABLE! Wet hay is HEAVY, and I have to tug and yank to get it out of the water multiple times a day, and the bag still looks good as new. Worth every penny! If you need to soak hay, get a few of these and a 44 gallon wheeled “Brute” trash bin (the wheels make all the difference, and it’s the perfect size to soak a full one of these nets) and you’re in business! Great product!

The only hay net I will buy
Hay chix hay nets are the best! The hole size is small enough to save the hay from being thrown everywhere, but large enough to easily allow horses to bite and pull out hay to eat. The netting itself is very comfortable to touch and deal with. The clip makes it so easy to hang, and the rope with the plastic stopper is very easy to tie up. I have these nets hung all around my pasture. These nets have lasted SIGNIFICANTLY longer than any other net I've bought. Well worth the money! They are sturdy; there are different-colored ropes and various hole sizes; and Haychix offers several types of nets for different needs.

Hay!!!!
I love this hay net. It’s quick and easy to fill and also durable so far. I would definitely buy again if I need another one. Pricey in my opinion but exceeds standard ones at feed stores.

So far its a win
I have a super destructive gelding that mouthed and pulls at everything food related. I've only had this a few days and so far he hasn't been able to rip it. It has slowed down his pace of eating and I immediately noticed less wasted hay around his feeding area. I am using this to supplement the hay the barn feeds him. He's food aggressive too so I'm really hoping this will help him relax if there is always food available in his stall. I am able to fit 3 1/2 flakes of bermuda in it. Not quite a half bale but I just check it daily and fill it if gets low. I should mention that i love how easy it is to fill and that it came w/a strong hook for mounting. Great quality and worth the extra expense. Update: it’s been a year this month and he still hasn’t been able to destroy it! Not a single rip after daily feedings. Money well spent.
