Great Quality Cat Door — Sturdy, Insulated, and Cat-Approved!
**review after 4 months of use** We’re really happy with this cat door! The plastic is thick and feels very durable definitely built to last. It also looks great and fits nicely in our window setup with simple install. At first, our cat wasn’t quite sure how to use it, so we kept the flap tied up for a few days to let her get used to the idea and gradually lowered the door. Once she figured it out, she started using it confidently, even with the strong magnet in place. The magnet gives the door a nice, secure close, and combined with the thick plastic, it provides excellent insulation. It actually keeps the house temperature very stable, which is impressive considering the window is technically open for the door to sit in. Overall, it’s a high-quality product that works perfectly and looks good doing it. Both we and our cat highly recommend it! 🐾

Good product
As others have said, it is easy to install and seems sturdy. I have had this for three weeks now, and this is how it went. After installing the window, we only let the cats in/out at the window, not the door. It took four days for the first cat to get the hang of it and start using it by himself. The two other cats started going to ask to be let in /out at the window and would wait for us to open it for them. This lasted almost three weeks before they finally figured out how to open it themselves. These cats are 2 and 3 years old. The magnet is pretty stiff and they needed lots of repetition and encouragement to figure out how to open it. It has been worth the time taken for them to learn as it has cut down on rounding up cats to bring them in and put them out and the litter box stays cleaner. We live in a rural area with several acres of woods around us and there is no problem with the cats being free to come and go as they wish.

Cat training took a few months
This was easy to install. Our cats didn’t know what to do. We tied the door open for the first two months. Eventually, the cats learned how to use the door. Now, the cats can use it independently. This might take some patience to train your cats. Now, we are very happy with the product. Really, it’s a matter of cat training on how to use it. The product itself is great. Don’t give up.

Worth the cost, great product
I prefer diy-ing anything that i can, but i have zero regrets with this purchase. The fit is snug, installation was super simple, and I have seen no risk of damage to our (newly replaced) windows. Five stars for- heavy duty materials that are manufactured well. I had been concerned about how much sound/weather would be blocked. Even with the flap edge barely brushing, all the other places as sealed so well i hear and feel a big difference when i have the window raised and when i lower the window into place. Installation "tip"- dont have a heart attack if the side pieces are too big "by that much". I was able to remove the end caps and the spring walls slid beautifully into place. I will go file down their sides so i can fit them into place and protect the spring bolt ends. For weather stripping, i chose to incorperate the locks rather than leave large gaps like they showed on the instructions. This way weather and bugs wont wander in. Four stars for- acrylic door is already starting to show scratches after a half hour of use, having to modify the frame slightly, but in a way i will have to make some other n modifications to protect the spring assembly from exposure.

Tactical Entry Point Approved
Tactical Entry Point Approved Commander Oliver Field Report: Operation: Freedom Flap After extensive surveillance monitoring of Catville Sanctuary perimeter activity, we installed this window pet door system — and honestly? It exceeded expectations. Installation was shockingly easy. The adjustable sizing made it fit our window perfectly without a lot of complicated modification or frustration. Once locked into place, it felt secure and sturdy immediately. What impressed us most: Excellent fit and clean appearance Very simple installation Strong locking panel Cats understood it almost instantly Gives outdoor enclosure access without constantly opening doors Works beautifully for multi-animal households We run a rescue/sanctuary setup with multiple cats, enclosed catio areas, and constant animal traffic, so products here get tested HARD. This one passed inspection. Bonus points because Commander Oliver personally supervised installation from the Tactical Observation Unit and only issued two minor complaints during construction. Highly recommend for cat owners, rescue setups, catios, or anyone wanting an easier and safer pet access solution. — Catville Sanctuary Security Division

good quality window however it does not have 15 inches of clearance in height be cautious
I ordered this window because it was the widest one I could order. It stated that it had a 15 inch clearance in height, which is exactly what I needed for my window however I have measured my window correctly and when I raise the window with my 15 inches of clearance, it was 15 1/2 and this window was a little bit taller, and I had to make adjustments to my window in order to get it in there, and I barely got it to fit. I was able to put insulation in the 1 inch width area, which kept it from leaking. It’s overall a good window if it fits in your space, however the weatherstripping that was sent with it was rolled up and damaged it did not stick well on the windows and I had to purchase new weatherstripping in order to seal the window properly. Other than that it works great the cat runs in and out of it you can see through the windows it’s a good quality product. It’s just not gonna fit exactly the way that you expect probably it’s a little bit shorter than the 15 inches that it said it had in clearance

Better than expected and felt it was worth the value.
This thing is great. My cat is always begging to be let onto our screened-in porch and so I finally caved and got him this pet door. I feel like a lot of thought went into making this product worthwhile. It’s nothing extravagant, but it is exactly what I needed and is good quality. I ended up ordering some window locks (since there’s no way to lock the window with the pet door installed) which work perfect, the window can’t be forced open (not easily, at least) and I was able to force the window down harder on the gasket for a better seal. Installation was simpler than expected, but I had to take it out briefly and that was kind of a pain (which isn’t a bad thing, security wise). The magnets that hold the hold the door flap closed are strong, which is good because it attracts the door flap to shut completely even if it settles in a slightly open position. Magnets might be a problem, however, being it takes a small bit of force to get the door open. The cat is loving his little porch access door, but we’re still working on learning how to use it. I’ve just been letting him in and out (in and out… in and out…) getting him used to it, occasionally letting the door close on his back so he gets used to that feeling too. Still a work in progress but he’ll catch on eventually. I definitely recommend this pet door so long as your animal has the capacity to puzzle things out. Felt like I got my moneys worth.

Not secure. They CAN get out when when it’s locked.
Absolutely amazing. At first. Then my cats realized with enough trying they could get it open on their own. At first I thought I was going crazy. I’d wake up to go let them out and they’d already be out. Then tragedy struck. We don’t let our cats out unless our dogs are also outside. Well, they busted out without my knowledge and our sweet kitty was killed by the neighbors dog who was in our yard. The lock isn’t a good enough lock. Just a small piece of plastic that easily rotates when they mess with it enough. Now our kitty girl is gone and our hearts are broken. This item needs updated. I’d send it back but I don’t have the box and don’t know if I could even find one to fit. $400 in cremation fees and heartbreak says, don’t buy this item until they create one where the lock is actually secure. Aside from death and sadness this was a great item and I was so happy with it for a long time.

Brilliant Cat flap solution fitted in minutes.
Now this is absolutely brilliant. Had to adjust the gap a little to allow the secure figment into the runners of the sash window <1mm. Good quality materials and design. Cat worked out how to use it in less than a day. Was also delivered faster than expected.
