This work great! The color is solid and did not irritate or color the skin. I even did my beard and it worked perfect. I am fortunate to have very tough skin so I would recommend a small test before you try this but I highly recommend. The shampoo does lather well and I only needed to leave in for 15 min. Very easy to do touch up and is much more cost efficient compare to my previous brand. Leaves my scalp feeling clean and hair feels soft and clean. I will subscribe and save this item on my next purchase!

First of all it smells SO good. At first there is a bit of an egg / sulfur scent but it quickly vaporizes and the lasting scent during application and what is left on the hair afterwards smells like sweet cherries! Left my hair feeling so so soft and healthy. My hair is truly shining and feels strong. The color Dark Brown is definitely a true dark deep coffee brown. My hair is red underneath dyes because of prior bleach damage & my root is naturally dark brown, but this shampoo achieved a beautiful dark chocolate brown all over. It did NOT make it black, but it is dark. I left it on for 20 mins which helped it get darker too. Make sure to wear gloves and cover up; it definitely stains. Doesn't wash out when rinsing, very durable. Especially for the price, this is sooo worth it. I'm obsessed.

My hair was mostly gray; the first application turned it black, a beautiful black. My husband loved the results. I instantly looked younger. This product works for anyone who wants to get rid of their gray. I left it in my hair for about an hour; the instructions say 20 minutes, however, I wanted to make sure the product worked. It did masterfully and beautifully.

This is an easy to use pump, make sure to not put the shampoo on skin, it will stain like actual dye. This is probably one of the best products I have used since I found it on Amazon, leaving my hair nice and shiny. Make sure to leave in hair long enough, depending on your hair type before washing it out. It lasts me over 2 weeks without touching up my grays and it does not ruin your natural hair with chemicals. The price of the product is extremely reasonable and I have shared this product with several friends who agree.

Always do a test patch! I used this dye in Dark Brown and the color turned out beautifully: rich, even, and excellent gray coverage. It’s definitely a dark brown (almost black), but my hair tends to grab color darker. I’m sure it’ll fade gradually with each wash, but I love dark hair, so I’m happy with it. It’s super easy to use since it works like a shampoo. I also appreciated that it came with a cape, shower cap, and ear protectors. I used them all and rinsed them clean for next time. The product has a slight chemical odor, but it’s tolerable and fades quickly. It can be a bit drying, so I recommend following with a hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Be careful during application! It can stain porcelain and counters, so lay down an old towel or work over a protected surface. I used about six pumps and still have plenty left. It can get messy, so use the back of your hand to pump the product instead of your palm once you’ve started applying. I did have some irritation near my temple afterward (my scalp was fine), so if you have sensitive skin, make sure to keep it off your skin and always do a patch test first. Keep a damp washcloth handy to wipe off any dye immediately if it touches your skin. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it five stars. Overall, I’m very happy with the results and plan to use it again, just with a little extra caution next time!

This seller and this brand of black shampoo-in dye are my faves. I actually use the dye on my box braids and it works beautifully without messing up my braids. My gray hair is blackened and my whole head of hair is conditioned with this semi-permanent dye. I wash my hair with this dye every 2 weeks to keep the grays away. The price for this size bottle is the best I've found recently. I try to never run out. I have recommended this to several people, even men, and they ALL love it too!

The scent was just okay—not unpleasant, but not particularly memorable. I did not experience any skin irritation or itchiness, which was important to me.
